Products that do what A daily aggregator of all junior level jobs does

Hey Hacker News, I made a job aggregator for entry-level positions that focus on students, recent grads, and individuals with less than 3 years of experience. I mostly find dev jobs requiring 3+ years of experience and is a huge pain so I made this. We recently launched our MVP last month and today we are launching V2 with a category based re-design. We will be adding filtering tags very soon. Please let us know if you have any questions or feedback. Link: https://entrylevel.io

I noticed the who's hiring threads are very popular every month, so I decided to create a job board specifically for hacker news. You can tag jobs, search, view user's profiles and more. Tell me what you guys thing! Any feedback is appreciated.

I saw this [0] pretty cool thread by user revskill, and wanted a quicker way to search through it, but also to keep them all in one place so I can read them at my leisure whenever I get time. Right now is like 60 lines of Ruby using Nokogiri, but I will certainly look into it further down the line and improve the list. There's a cronjob checking the thread every 12 hours but I will eventually shut that down and it will become static after that. There are some really awesome blogs in there. I really recommend going through the list, it made my day. [0] "Could you share your personal blog…

Hello Hacker News! Exactly one year ago, I shared an article analyzing the skills most in demand for data analyst roles. Today, I’m excited to bring you the next evolution of that idea—scaled up to cover most IT fields. What did I create? A smart job aggregator: It filters job listings to show only those that match your unique skillset—no more endless scrolling. Live market insights: It analyzes current job trends to pinpoint the skills employers are looking for right now. Personalized skill growth recommendations: Based on your profile, it highlights the two specific skills that could most…

Hey HN, We’re Kim and Donald from Entry Level (https://entrylevel.io). Entry Level, is a job board for students, recent grads, career changes, and individuals with less than 3 years of experience. As current fullstack bootcamp students, both of us struggled to find jobs targeting beginners breaking into tech. Most jobs we would apply for require 3+ years of experience making it hard for us. We’d often go from website to website to find entry-level opportunities and I wanted to create a job board that has all the info I want from the multiple sites I visit frequently. So we made…

Based on the multiple "Who's hiring remotely?" and similar posts on HN, I thought it might be useful to have a site that aggregates remote programming jobs. There is way too much spam out and an inconsistent way to say "work from home" so traditional searching doesn't work (or rather, takes a long time per person). I've worked in a few remote programming positions so I figured I might know of some companies or searching tricks to find them. Let me know if you'd find this type of thing useful. If we can get some traffic going, then maybe we can start attracting companies to actually list…

Hey everyone, My wife graduated in 2022 and she was fortunate enough to land an internship at a small startup which then offered her a permanent position. But ever since then she has been trying to find another job as a frontend dev since the current one doesn't offer any growth opportunities. She started looking in 2023 right when the job market started tanking. She's been at it for months with no success as there are little to no junior roles available and she spent most of her day refreshing linkedin to check for new opportunities. At the beginning of this year I had this idea that I…

Hello HN Community! I've transformed the "Ask HN: Who's hiring? (November 2023)" post into a Google Sheet. Here's a quick rundown of the method: I utilized the Hacker News Algolia Search API to extract data. You can find the specific thread URL here: https://hn.algolia.com/api/v1/search_by_date?tags=comment,st... Using a GET request, I fetched comments from the thread and processed them via the ChatGPT API. Employing the ChatGPT API for each comment, I parsed crucial job details such as company, position, location, and more. This information was structured and…

In my spare time to remind myself that I could actually build stuff (and learn some Python, Flask, Redis, etc) I put together a simple job board to feature the best jobs in the API industry. The jobs can be either building APIs at companies like Twilio, Box, Stripe, etc. or integrating them. In addition to featuring those jobs, I'm also aggregating API jobs from GitHub Jobs, Stack Overflow Careers 2.0, and 37signals Job Board. Today I launched with what I would consider an 'MVP' with jobs from SendGrid, TokBox, Twilio, Zencoder, Parse, Stripe, Pusher and Box. Check it out, I'd love to know…

Hello everyone! I know there are already a few "Who Is Hiring" aggregators, but I wanted to show off what I've done. My project was cancelled right before Christmas, so this project was a great way to blow off some steam while procrastinating looking for a new job. Tangentially, I am looking for new career opportunities if your company needs a full stack web developer, lol. This website was completed in about a week and a half. I wanted to present it in a Show HN post on Jan 2 when the usual Who Is Hiring posts were featured, but I didn't think it had enough features to make it useful. Even…

hey y'all -- can you please tell us if our job search tool sucks? :D we built it using an investor platform called Harmonic.ai to gather startup data, then contextualize it so that job seekers could find out about the most exciting startups hiring first (like if they just raised, growing headcount fast, have an ex-unicorn founder, etc). pretty sure we're the first platform doing anything like this. anyway, let me know what you think. really excited to launch this thing soon! getting feedback from the hn community first is really fun :)
