How these articles are made
Two kinds of post live here. Analysis pieces are written by hand from the launch index. The “cheaper alternatives” and “free alternatives” pieces are produced with a language model from facts we gather first: the product’s pricing as read from its own website on the publication date, and the products in our index that do the same job, each checked the same way. The model writes the prose; it is not allowed to add products, prices or features that are not in that brief. A post is only published when a product is paid and at least three real alternatives with readable prices exist, and no alternative is reused across many posts.
