Products that do what A new(?) approach for your bookmarks does
Hey HN community, there are a couple of websites I visit on a daily basis. I type the first two oder three characters of the url and the autocomplete feature of my browser does the rest. That is also how I procrastinate. It happens that i visit the same website over and over again without that there is really new content on that site. Or on the other side it happens that I forget to visit a certain site for some days. To address all this I build the following website: https://everyday-favs.com The idea is: you have one personal link (1) and define a list of websites and how often…

Bookmarks which you wanted to read, but simply forgot... It happened to me all the time. I bookmarked the articles to read later and simply forgot about them. Forever. I built Mailist to help with that. Already 2350 users enjoy their "weekly digests" composed from their bookmarks. It makes me super happy! So now, https://mailist.app Pro account allows you to send an email newsletter every day, built from your bookmarks. Does it sound interesting? The free version (weekly email) is available for everyone! Let me know what you think. PS. Unlike other tools, we care about your privacy…

Hi HN, I have about 2000+ bookmarks that I will never read. Probably you do too. I keep collecting new stuff to read, the list grows longer each day, but I barely get around to reading them, and the problem, as I realised, is more to do with the analysis paralysis on what to read. Sort of like how we spend so much time figuring out what movie to watch on Netflix. So I made a simple Chrome extension: it picks one bookmark at random, drops you on the page, and gives you two buttons on a floating toolbar - Stumble (next random one) or Done (mark read and move to the next random one). That's it.…

My partner and I are avid users of Delicious/Pinboard and wanted a quick way to add to and access our stored bookmarks. We created a Chrome extension to scratch that itch. It shows your ten most-recent bookmarks by default, with a fast search interface to find older bookmarks, and keyboard shortcuts for navigation. We plan to add pagination in an upcoming release, and have considered adding support for Safari as well as alternate bookmarking backends. The (mostly CoffeeScript) source is up on GitHub, and may be interesting as an example of caching Backbone Collections in localStorage or…

It's an app for bookmarking webpages you want to remember. Just use bookmarklet to take screenshots whenever you want to bookmark a site. I made this because I'm sick of text based bookmarking websites like Delicious and Pinboard. I'll always bookmark a site and try and find it later, but because it's all text/tag based I'll have forgotten what the site is about, but I'll remember what it looks like. There's a laundry list of things I'm going to add to the site, so know it's really minimal right now. Would appreciate any feedback you have :)
