Products that do what A simple way to annotate code does
I needed a solution for annotating translations for learning Japanese. I wanted something that created output documents like backbone.js's awesome annotated source code [1], but couldn't find it, so I made it. Hopefully it's useful to you for annotating code, translations, or any arbitrary text. I'm a long time lurker that recently quit my job to work on my own projects, a lot due to the inspiration from Hacker News. Now I have published my first serious project, an app for learning how to write Japanese characters. It's the app I always wanted but couldn't find when I was studying. I banged this out over the weekend. It's really rough though. https://github.com/burtonator/pdf-annotation-exporter Basically I have it working with: https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/viewer.html Whereby I can paste the pos.js into the console and it can export PDF annotations with screenshots of the annotation. I intend on using this with Anki to read more complex books and take notes with it. Now I just need to wire it all together with chrome headless and PDF.js
