This is a personal project I've been working on and off for the past few years. It's a set of tools that have allowed me to prototype quickly small (and increasingly bigger) kernels, and create userspace programs to interact with them. Supports riscv64, amd64 and i386. The intel port has been tested and used on real hardware, from big dual-socket Xeon machines to an old X220. It is all C, I have plan to make rust bindings for the kernel library. But again, they're plans at this stage. Porting to new architectures is relatively simple, a basic port to riscv took me a couple of weeks of…

Title says all that needs to said about it, admittedly it is stupid to "copy" any Windows feature in Linux but here we are...it is not exactly made for use by extensive audience but just a rough work of it would love any suggestion/critique on it ...

Hey HN, I’m Surya and I’m super excited to show you WarpBuild’s new MacOS runners for Github Actions! The MacOS runners are powered by M2 Pros with 6vcpu and 14GB memory. On paper, this is comparable to the M1 powered macos-latest-xlarge runners by Github but are 25% faster and 50% cheaper, with the same tools pre-installed. This is useful for 4 reasons: because Github runners are super slow and pricey and even more so on mac, managing mac infra is a hassle, concurrent CI runs on macs can get very expensive, and pre-installed tooling speeds up workflows. We have teams running iOS builds on…

I got tired of bookmarking random GitHub repos and blog posts to find good Copilot prompts, so I built CopilotHub (https://copilothub.directory). Another tool in your dev toolkit: a searchable directory for Copilot prompts and instructions. It's a searchable directory where you can: - Browse 100+ prompts by category - Search by keywords, language, or framework - Submit your own prompts (open to contributions) - Find instructions for specific use cases Started with content from awesome-copilot, now growing through community contributions. Architecture: - Next.js 15 App Router with…
