Products that do what A Visual, Searchable Resume Grid for Developers does

Hi HN! We launched 10000resumes.com as a fun, visual alternative for developers to showcase their skills, roles, and social links in a grid format (inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage). Since our last post, we’ve added: Search functionality: Highlight profiles in real-time by skill, role, or name. Price drop to $0.19/spot: To reduce spam (free grids risked low-quality entries). Why repost? Previous posts were flagged for criticizing LinkedIn (lesson learned! ). We’re not here to bash platforms—just offer a quirky, browsable space for devs. Feedback drove major updates: search,…

LinkedIn feels more like Facebook every day — noisy feeds, fake engagement, and everyone shouting into the void. Thats why I used to built a personal microsite on Squarespace and uploaded a video resume to YouTube to stand out - it helped me land interviews and get into Big Tech. But I always wondered: why isn’t there a platform designed to help you stand out like that? So I built OpenSpot: a public, curated platform where you can showcase who you are — with video, audio, and proof of your work. No endless feeds. No humblebrags. Just real people open to new opportunities. We’ve already…

I recently decided to try out Google Tasks as my only task management system, and while I find some things about the interface great, it really isn't suited for someone like me who has multiple lists with lots of elements on each. So, I whipped this together real fast and I can't imagine using Google Tasks without it anymore. I realized you might want it too, so I put it on the web. Enjoy :)

Generally, I found resumes too vague to get to know anyone (hence why no one networks with them), professional blogs too low ROI, walking up to people unscalable, and cold messaging fairly low success-rate. I wanted the 'marketing tool' of networking to get myself out there. Something that lets me: 1) Draw people into a conversation before they've realized it 2) Make them remember me and ultimately reach out to me 3) See what people asked me so I can further refine my interactive profile and start the networking cycle again So I built a website where anyone can create these interactive…

Hey folks, There has been some talk about search engines here so I thought maybe I'd share a new project I'm working on. Built it partly to help me sell my own projects. Still a lot of work to be done but would be happy to get feedback. Very early phase so don't trust your life with it. Cheers --- Edit: if anyone needs a free/no CC account just DM me on https://www.linkedin.com/in/crufter/

Based on the multiple "Who's hiring remotely?" and similar posts on HN, I thought it might be useful to have a site that aggregates remote programming jobs. There is way too much spam out and an inconsistent way to say "work from home" so traditional searching doesn't work (or rather, takes a long time per person). I've worked in a few remote programming positions so I figured I might know of some companies or searching tricks to find them. Let me know if you'd find this type of thing useful. If we can get some traffic going, then maybe we can start attracting companies to actually list…

I recently had to update my resume and got inspired to create something targeted at technical people and not based on wrestling with UI menus. The idea is to minimize choices by relying on the best practices for the tech industry. Live: https://devresume.app/ Github: https://github.com/vangelov/devresume

After about 10 years as a developer, interviewing many devs, and reviewing hundreds of resumes I decided to write a guide that I wish I had when I was first starting out. Completely free (just enter $0 as price) If you find it helpful, would love it if you: - Leave a review - Share it with a friend who might also benefit!

Searching for job roles in tech? I've been there. For six months, I was stuck in the LinkedIn job application loop, getting nowhere. It was soul-crushing. I started to wonder if I was just a bad developer. But I changed my modus operandi and started reaching out to founders building super cool startups that got recently funded but didnt have the chance to post online yet that they are hiring, the response rate was much more significant and I wwas having super cool convos! This approach was so effective, I turned it into a product. I've tapped into premium data sources (we're talking $25K+…

Stack: WASM + Rust + Macroquad I saw that a company had posted a cool job ad where you had to apply directly via a REST API. That gave me the idea to gamify my resume as well. Since I was bored, I vibe coded a bit and voilà, the result was ready. I think it's something new and fun that might put a smile on people's faces. Hello everyone, I’ve been building Seisin, a desktop app for keeping an entire job search in one place. I was planning on posting this back at v1.0, but held on to see a bit more of what HN was like before posting here. I kept building in the meantime, so what’s here now is v1.1. It tracks applications, interviews, offers, resumes, contacts and notes, then turns all of that into analytics automatically. Some of what’s in it now: - Analytics (response rate by source, response time, weekly activity & trends, and more) - A resume builder with five templates, import and export as PDF or Word,…

Hey HN! Quick TL; DR: I set up scrapers for the websites of ~20k tech companies, fed the results through GPT, spent some sleepless nights building a web app, and voilá. I started this after getting fed up with how slow LinkedIn felt. I finally got it working and easy to use, so I wanted to share it with you guys. The job list is free. But I’m currently paying a lot of money to OpenAI for all the data I’m passing through GPT, so I may end up eventually charging for some advanced features, or putting ads on it or something. Please let me know what you think! I’m actively developing this so I’m…
