Hi HN! First time posting. I created a tool for my Autistic son who is in high school junior battling severe ADHD symptoms. His difficulties include; 1. Time blindness 2. Lack of executive functioning skills 3. Task initiation issues These three were severely affecting his grades. We had a consultation with a Developmental Psychologist who prescribed Concerta that improves his ability to focus in class. In addition he also has the boilerplate ADHD accommodations(2X time on tests and quiet place to take the test). These collectively improved his test taking abilities. But, when it came to his…

Hey HN, We're Alex, Martin and Laurent. We previously founded Wit.ai (W14), which we sold to Facebook in 2015. Since 2019, we've been working on Nabla (https://nabla.com), an intelligent assistant for health practitioners. When GPT-3 was released in 2020, we investigated it's usage in a medical context[0], to mixed results. Since then we’ve kept exploring opportunities at the intersection of healthcare and AI, and noticed that doctors spend am awful lot of time on medical documentation (writing clinical notes, updating their EHR, etc.). Today, we're releasing Nabla Copilot, a…

Hi HN, My partner, Jess, is a graduating university student in Illustration. For her senior thesis, we put together a basic AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) iPhone app for autistic kids. The initial release is basically a hierarchical wordbook with sounds. But we'd love to add extra features, any code commits are more than welcome, especially considering that we wont have any development time in the nearish future. There're some screenshots on the wiki if you don't want to build it. http://wiki.github.com/koudelka/TomBoy When I get a chunk of free time, I'm going to submit it…

This project is a Windows port of the whisper.cpp implementation: https://github.com/ggerganov/whisper.cpp Which in turn is a C++ port of OpenAI's Whisper automatic speech recognition (ASR) model: https://github.com/openai/whisper The implementation has no dependencies, usually much faster than realtime, and should hopefully work on most Windows computers in the world.
