Products that do what an easy way to create wish-lists and discover new products does

http://yeay.me This is a project that we've been developing for the last year and a half with a friend of mine. We didn't promoted it properly yet, so it's kinda of a premier here. We've built a service that is helping you to create your wish-list and have-list and based on your choices it recommends you products, an easy way to discover new stuff. We've built it using Grails, MongoDB, Nginx. Would love to hear your thoughts about it.

So a while ago I was thinking it would be neat to build a site that had the most absolute utility. The idea I came up with was a site to store those little protips that are super useful, if you know them ahead of time. I hired a guy to work on it with me, and ClueDB was born: http://cluedb.com/ Please give it a whirl (it uses Twitter auth as login but doesn't tweet anything) and tell me what you think! (Various trivia: My first try at a project coded by someone else and "product managed" by me. Runs on Flask + MongoDB. Also, this is totally unrelated to my startup.)

Hi guys, We have just built Ultimategiftlists.com My girlfriend keeps asking me what I want for Christmas. I also need to buy stuff for my nephew. So I wrote a list of stuff out for my girlfriend and sent her an email of links showing her the stuff I wanted. I found that my brother did exactly the same to show me what I should get my nephews. There had to be a better way to do this. Amazon wishlist exists but it doesn't do it as effectively as I wanted. Therefore my mate and I built our new site - www.ultimategiftlists.com - it's hopefully very simple to use and has a really cool feature…

Hey folks, There has been some talk about search engines here so I thought maybe I'd share a new project I'm working on. Built it partly to help me sell my own projects. Still a lot of work to be done but would be happy to get feedback. Very early phase so don't trust your life with it. Cheers --- Edit: if anyone needs a free/no CC account just DM me on https://www.linkedin.com/in/crufter/

Hi HN, I'm happy to finally ship my first development project: http://favsi.com. Favsi is a site to share lists of random stuff. Things you probably wouldn't post anywhere else. Like: • Favorite cheesy ninja movies • Favorite original NES games • Favorite songs to sing in the car There's been lots of list-type apps cropping up lately: Bagcheck, ListGeeks, Listry, and probably others. Mini-trend? Some Background: By trade, I've been mostly a business guy [shudders] at startups, but have been working to change that for awhile now. I started learning Ruby a few times last year but had trouble…

So, after many years of kicking about little apps and not putting the full effort in, I decided to bite the bullet and get on with it. Very much inspired by patio11 and Bingo Card Creator, I present Griddol (http://www.griddol.com) a tool to create and play word searches. Intended mainly for teachers, but encouraging those who like a word search too. This been churning around in my head for over a year in various forms, and I used the concept to help learn CoffeeScript, CouchDB and node.js, so even if the product itself is a failure, the learning process has been valuable. I'll be the first…

Hi HN! My name is Yossi, and I'm a solo indie maker. SEO tools are super pricey and free tools often fall short, leaving most users to costly subscription-based tools. So, I built SEO Stuff, a keyword tool that uses a credit-based system for builders like me who use SEO more sporadically. Have a great day!

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a tool I built to help you quickly find potential customers across social media for your product. It's a really simple concept: you simply paste in your landing page URL, and it shows you highly relevant posts across Reddit (Working to integrate few more) from people who likely need your product or service. For example, if you have a minimal to-do list app, it will show you posts like "Anyone know of a minimal to-do list app?" or "Really starting to dislike how complex Notion is." These posts are from the last 48 hours, updated in real-time, and uniquely…

Here is the link: http://www.wikihowtodo.com I know a lot of geeks share the same dream -- build the next kick-ass todo-list/project management system. So do I. However, as I was quite positive that my web development skill is worse than 99% of developers' in this community, I decided to build something simple, useless but unique. So I built this. Basically it's a Wikihow scraper, nothing more. It gives you a place to store interesting Wikihow articles and yes, they are converted into todo lists. I know this site is not that good, but I still need your guys' feedback. For example, as I am a…

smrt.shopping - a smart shopping list that automatically categorizes things you add by the area they'll be in the store. It saves all data in localstorage. No signup needed. Nothing to install. Just go to the URL and use it. I decided at the start of the year I was going to build one barebones MVP per month, then move on to the next thing. I built this in January (over a few evenings) and then iterated a little during February, in between working on the second MVP. I have a bunch of ideas about improvements to make, but I'm trying to limit myself to the brief - simplest MVP, push it out…

    - After starting and quitting so many times, I finally decided to start small project and created SuggetMeLearn - This is my first ever attempt to a complete web application - The idea is to - let people suggest the way they learnt a particular language or technology - let people seeking to learn decide based on the suggestion to pick resources and start learning rather than browsing through infinite search results. - people can vote if they think they also believe that a particular suggestion is a great resource(and suggestions are sorted by votes) - All suggestions are welcome. - URL :…

Introducing my latest project, We Build Landing Pages. https://theredbit.github.io/webuildlandingpages/ Excuse the blatant infancy of the project but I take 'releasing early and often' pretty seriously. The goals of this project are to... 1. Build a solid network of clients who need landing pages while learning how to run a business and to help earn funds to survive while I search for a job. Long story, I'm in a rough spot and I'm trying to get on my feet. 2. Build and release open-source tools and foster the growth of a community based on this work to help developers…

I wanted to find a product idea to build. "Build things people want," right? So I thought, why not literally find people saying what they want? I wrote a script to collect thousands of Reddit posts where people are looking for a solution or complaining about a problem. Then I used GPT to filter out the noise and score each one based on how viable the idea seemed. Threw together a simple search interface so anyone can explore them. I was planning to build a more advanced paid version of this, but figured I'd share the raw version first to see if it's actually useful to anyone.
