Greetings! YakGPT is a simple, frontend-only, ChatGPT UI you can use to either chat normally, or, more excitingly, use your mic + OpenAI's Whisper API to chat hands-free. Some features: * A few fun characters pre-installed * No tracking or analytics, OpenAI is the only thing it calls out to * Optimized for mobile use via hands-free mode and cross-platform compressed audio recording * Your API key and chat history are stored in browser local storage only * Open-source, you can either use the deployed version at Vercel, or run it locally Planned features: * Integrate Eleven Labs & other TTS…

Hey everyone, We have been building SecureAI Tools -- an open-source application layer for ChatGPT and ChatPDF-like AI tools. It works with locally running LLMs as well as with OpenAI-compatible APIs. For local LLMs, it supports Ollama which supports all the gguf/ggml models. Currently, it has two features: Chat-with-LLM, and Chat-with-PDFs. It is optimized for self-hosting use cases and comes with basic user management features. Here are some quick demos: * Chat with documents using OpenAI's GPT3.5 model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Br2D3G9O47s * Chat with documents…

Henry, Matt and James here – we’re building an open source toolkit that makes it easy to integrate an LLM-powered copilot that talks to your API into software products. It works by calling API endpoints which you choose to expose to it. This lets the chatbot complete tasks within your software in response to natural language queries. It’s also open source, so you don’t have to send user data to another 3rd party. We support Llama 2, but we haven’t fine-tuned Llama 2 yet (coming soon) so highest accuracy is seen with GPT-4 or fine-tuned GPT-3.5 (much faster). We started working together 2…

Hi HN, I’m the founder of Pangea. We’ve built a developer platform where you can easily add security to your code through a simple set of APIs - features like authentication, secrets management, audit logging, redaction of PII, restricting embargoed countries, known threat actor intelligence, etc. With the ChatGPT and LLM explosion, we thought of ways to reduce the risk of both the inputs and outputs from these services. Our NextJS sample app adds a security layer on top of ChatGPT with various security services that you can implement quickly. It’s basically a front end to the OpenAI API…

ChatIDE is a sort of a DIY Github copilot X. Launch ChatIDE with a `Cmd + Shift + i`. You bring your own OpenAI api key. You can set the system prompt, temperature, and max tokens in the extension settings. The extension is currently not aware of any of the files in your project, although that might be cool to add later. Use it just like you would use ChatGPT in the browser. Feedback and contributions more than welcome.

Hey HN Community, We're excited to announce the integration of the newly launched ChatGPT API into Promptly - a platform designed to make prompt management and sharing a breeze for developers. With Promptly, you can easily test out different prompts and model parameters for various providers, and quickly share prompt snippets together with parameters and generated output. It's like CodePen or JSFiddle, but for prompts! In addition to that, Promptly also allows you to create high-level endpoints on top of provider APIs (such as Open AI, DreamStudio, and more) with templated and versioned…

This project was born from my passion for every Apple product and the entire ecosystem, along with the power of ChatGPT. I was tired of copy-pasting and switching between apps on my Mac or iPhone, so I had this crazy idea to bring ChatGPT into every app that I use. This was possible only with the Apple Shortcuts app. Very few people know about its power and potential, so I took this chance and built COPILOT. https://meetcopilot.app But I also loved the idea of AI agents using various tools so much that I leveraged OpenAI's function-calling feature to accomplish that. Now, no matter…

We’ve built the Cape API so developers can keep sensitive data private while prompting LLMs like GPT-4 and GPT 3.5 Turbo. With Cape, you can easily de-identify sensitive data before sending it to OpenAI. In addition, you can create embeddings from sensitive text and documents and perform vector searches to improve your prompt context all while keeping the data confidential. Developers are using Cape with data like financial statements, legal contracts, and internal/proprietary knowledge that would otherwise be too sensitive to process with the ChatGPT API. You can try CapeChat, our…

Hi! "Another chatbot for your content" you may ask? Not really! Let me explain. I have realized that there's an untapped potential for ChatGPT plugins: why leave them locked up in the OpenAI store? Let's embed them on websites or share using links! Let's make chatbots ~ do stuff ~, not just talk about what they know. That's how Chatwith was born. It is a chat widget, it scrapes your website, knowledge page, notion etc - but more importantly, it also understands your API. It can interact with that API on your or your visitors' behalf. Some use cases & ideas: - Shopify bot - ask it for order…

Chrome now includes a native on-device LLM (Gemini Nano) starting in version 138. I've been building with it since it was in origin trials, it's powerful but the official Prompt API is still a bit awkward: - Enforces sessions even for basic usage - Requires user-triggered downloads - Lacks type safety or structured error handling So I open-sourced a small TypeScript wrapper I originally built for other projects to smooth over the rough edges: github: https://github.com/kstonekuan/simple-chromium-ai npm: https://www.npmjs.com/package/simple-chromium-ai…

How does it work? Chatbang works by scraping ChatGPT's website. It opens ChatGPT on a headless session when you execute Chatbang and take your prompt and paste it in ChatGPT's prompt area and execute that prompt, then it waits for the response and copies it as a markdown format and then render it in the terminal.

I built PolyGPT to solve a problem I had: constantly tab-switching between ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to compare their responses. It's a desktop app (Mac/Windows/Linux) that lets you type a prompt once and see all three AI models respond simultaneously in a split view. Useful for: - Comparing technical explanations - Getting multiple perspectives on code problems - Fact-checking answers across models The app is free, open source, and runs locally - your credentials stay on your machine. What I thought would take me weeks in development, took me months, but it's finally out. When ChatGPT API came out in March, my first idea of what to build with it was a spotlight-like app for my mac. The product was ready in a matter of days, but making it useful and sellable to people via some kind of distribution platform was another challenge. Coming from web development, learning how to ship a native app was a trip, but here it is, ready to share with the world. Try it out with the free trial, and I'd appreciate any kind of feedback.

https://github.com/KTruong008/aichatbestie Been working on this since last week and glad to share it here and now! There's already been a few other takes on this idea, but I figured none would fit me as well as if I had just built it myself. All messages are sent and stored locally in the browser for privacy and speed. Accounts are optional and upgrading is a one-time deal. Any questions, comments, feedback, please, I'd like to hear it all!
