My partner usually writes substack posts which I then mirror to our website’s blog section. To automate this, I made a simple tool to scrape the post and clean it so that I can drop it to our blog easily. This might be useful to others as well. Oh and ofcourse you can instruct GPT to make any final edits :D

Hey all, I just released v2.0.0 of FilterQL, a query language and TypeScript library. This version adds support for Operations, which allow you to transform the data after filtering. If you think this would be useful in a project you're working on, give it a try and let me know what you think!

Hey Hacker News! I wanted to share the open source project I have been working on during the last year: SQLPage, a tool to build small web applications entirely in SQL. Building web applications with just SQL isn't as crazy as it seems. Most simple applications can be expressed declaratively as just data queries that fill pre-defined web components. I'd love to hear your feedback and thoughts on it. Would you potentially use it? How can it be improved? Website: https://sql.ophir.dev/ Github: https://github.com/lovasoa/SQLpage Example app:…

I've gotten more and more of these and A. I'm often not interested and B. they upset me more often than not. Since Reddit randomizes class-names and runs recommendations under different names this was more tricky than expected but it works reliably now.

Hey guys, I needed a way to convert Code, CSV, and Markdown snippets to shareable images so I built this over the weekend. It all runs locally in the browser using a few lines of jQuery. Nothing fancy. Sharing in case someone else might find it useful!

It's an app for bookmarking webpages you want to remember. Just use bookmarklet to take screenshots whenever you want to bookmark a site. I made this because I'm sick of text based bookmarking websites like Delicious and Pinboard. I'll always bookmark a site and try and find it later, but because it's all text/tag based I'll have forgotten what the site is about, but I'll remember what it looks like. There's a laundry list of things I'm going to add to the site, so know it's really minimal right now. Would appreciate any feedback you have :)

Still pretty rough ... Emphasizes: 1) Simple, no-frill dashboard for managing posts (files). 2) Lightweight markdown editor 3) Relationships: taxonomy (file tagging) and fast linking (content to other posts) Some of the important key bindings I have are ctrl+c for code, ctrl-L for linking text to other posts. Right now this is baked in but I'd want to allow users to customize it. It's still pretty beta but let me know what ya'll think! Hey HN, solo dev here. After years of frustration with how LLMs handle complex documents, especially PDFs with tables, I decided to build a solution myself. My approach uses a Markdown conversion step to preserve the table structure, which seems to work surprisingly well for chunking. This little parser is the first public piece of a much larger, privacy-focused AI platform I'm building. I'm pretty much running on fumes financially, so any feedback, critique, or support is massively appreciated. Happy to answer any questions about the approach!

Hi everyone! I built this tool because I couldn't find a simpler solution to my problem (publish a markdown file and make it available online so other people can see). I hope you'll find it useful too! Currently, what it does is only publish a markdown file, but I'm thinking of adding features like styling, custom URL, password-protected link, etc. But I don't know whether people would find it useful. Let me know what you think!

Hi hn! It has always annoyed me that recipe websites are so cluttered and have so much (in my opinion) useless fluff, so I made a little website to solve that problem! One good thing about SEO for once is that Google has pretty much forced the internet to adopt JSON-LD for recipes so many recipes are directly extractable and for others I have several fall back parsers including an indieweb parser :) If you do find a website that is broken feel free to click the flag button or share it as I would love to fix any edge cases
