Think of it as a cross between Google Docs, Gist and LLM chat (with tools). What it does today: Editor for GitHub-flavoured Markdown + Mermaid + KaTeX in one place Live preview as you type LLM Chat enables: Drafting an architecture doc from a short description Generate or update Mermaid diagrams from text Refining a document Change Tracking (visual or diff) Public share links Integrations (needs tidy up/fixing) ImageGen - hooked up to flux.1, gen image store in s3 GithubMCP - needs fixing (too many tools/ no private repo support) Web Search/Fetch How I got here (14M later): It…

I was inspired by the way ChatGPT writes bullet lists, then invites you to "delve" deeper. This is an interface that reifies that rabbit-holing process into a tiling layout. The model is instructed to output hyperlink-prompts when it mentions something you might want to delve into. Lots of features to add (sessions, sharing, navigation, highlight-to-delve, images, ...). Would love to hear other usecases and ideas!

Inspired by the design and UI/UX of apps like Notion, and utility of open-source apps like StackEdit, I decided to create a minimalistic, local-only WYSIWYG Markdown editor. Some features worth highlighting: - Monaco editor and Prettier integration for code snippets - Tables (apparently the holy grail of WYSIWYG editing) - Embeds (for CodePen, CodeSandbox and YouTube, most useful for HTML or JSON exports) - Accepts Markdown paste-in, and "exports"/generates HTML, Markdown and JSON outputs - Collaboration (with real-time awareness and initial commenting system, available only when…

In the past I've used declarative diagram generation tools like Mermaid.js a lot for quickly drawing up things but for presentations or deliverables I find that I have to then move the generated diagrams over to a tool like Lucidchart which allows full control of the organization and customization. Therefore I am now working on this to combine the benefits of both into just one tool which can do both functions. The project is certainly in the early stages but if you find yourself making architecture diagrams I'd love to hear your thoughts on the idea or even a Github issue for a feature…

Twigg▲157Hi HN, we’re Jamie and Matti, co-founders of Twigg. During our master’s we continually found the same pain points cropping up when using LLMs. The linear nature of typical LLMs interfaces - like ChatGPT and Claude - made it really easy to get lost without any easy way to visualise or navigate your project. Worst of all, none of them are well suited for long term projects. We found ourselves spending days using the same chat, only for it to eventually break. Transferring context from one chat to another is also cumbersome. We decided to build something more intuitive to the ways humans think.…

Lucent Chat▲177Hey HN, We built Lucent Chat because creating with AI has become a mess. You'd ask ChatGPT for a prompt, copy it into another tool, tweak settings, open three tabs, run into token limits, and lose your style halfway through. Iteration was slow, context vanished, and the process killed the creative flow. Lucent Chat is our attempt to fix that - a single chat where you can generate, refine, and manage all your visuals and videos across Veo, Sora, Kling, Seedream, Nano Banana, and more. You describe what you want and Lucent handles the rest. It will find the right model, optimise your prompt +…

Built this because I'm sick of keeping documentation up to date when everyone's using AI tools now. It will not only generate missing docs / update / remove docs as they need alignment, but you can hook up the MCP to whatever agent is being used these days and it'll inform it of codebase conventions & relevant documentation, telling it to update docs as it find them or as it makes changes (in the same PR as related work), and reduces spend on tokens by getting things right the first time without having to grep the whole codebase for context or go through 5 rounds of "follow our…

Bindly▲76Hi HN, I’m a product designer by background, not a traditional software engineer. Over the last year, tools like Claude and ChatGPT completely changed how I work. I started with small internal tools, and now I’m “vibe coding” multiple highly personalized apps. As I iterated between Claude Code (implementation) and ChatGPT (ideation / thinking), I kept running into the same problem. To think clearly, I had to repeatedly re-explain: - what the code currently does, - what changed recently, - and why certain decisions were made. That re-summarization step became a real bottleneck. So I…

Hey HN, I built this tool because my personal diagramming workflow was broken, and I wanted to automate it. When creating diagrams, I have two conflicting needs. For logic and structure, I prefer Mermaid.js here. It’s deterministic, version-controllable, and lets me tweak the logic easily until it matches exactly what’s in my head. For aesthetics, I need the final result to look like a high-end infographic for presentations, which Mermaid (and standard tools) are bad at. Before Nanobanana Pro came out, AI image generation cannot generate good visual presentation for diagrams because it…

I'm excited to introduce my own developed Markdown editor to everyone. It's built on the Monaco editor and designed specifically for developers. This editor integrates various features such as document management, resource management, and MDX extensions. You can embed images, audio, video, and even use plugins like drawing tools, calendars, and cards to showcase your creativity. What's even more thrilling is that it allows users to customize PostgreSQL table structures, insert and display data in Markdown documents, and even collect form submissions. My original intention in design was to…

Hi HN, Working with multiple projects, I got tired of re-explaining our complex multi-node system to LLMs. Documentation helped, but plain text is hard to search without indexing and doesn't work across projects. I built Linggen to solve this. My Workflow: I use the Linggen VS Code extension to "init my day." It calls the Linggen MCP to load memory instantly. Linggen indexes all my docs like it’s remembering them—it is awesome. One click loads the full architectural context, removing the "cold start" problem. The Tech: Local-First: Rust + LanceDB. Code and embeddings stay on your machine. No…

Hi HN, Nick here, founder at OpenKnowledge. We built an open source library, Visimer, for editing Mermaid diagrams with a what-you-see-is-what-you-get visual editor. Try the playground at https://visimer.com/playground. You can rename labels, change shapes, add new nodes, etc. by clicking and dragging the visual canvas. We set out to build this originally for OpenKnowledge, our markdown wysiwyg editor, then realized it’d be great to share it as a proper embeddable component library so that other apps can leverage it as well. Our general take is that AI is great for generating…

Docs.codes generates simple markdowns for open-source libraries that you can add to the context of your LLM assistants, helping them generate better code. Here's a quick walkthrough with pypi/mem0ai as example: https://youtu.be/SKZol8G_tIE LLMs struggle with generating correct code when using lesser-known libraries or dealing with major version changes that happen after their training cutoff. With these markdowns, you can ensure that your LLM chat/coding assistants have up-to-date knowledge of the library's API and usage patterns. We built this using the latest…

As a developer, I absolutely despise writing documentation. That's why I've started building software that would make it a more bearable experience. Our current features include the following: - An AI assistant that lets you talk with your documentation. Ask questions like: How do I do thing X? What is the method for fetching a model from the database? And the AI assistant will answer. - Developers can choose their preferred way of writing: online WYSIWYG editor or writing to markdown files using their favorite editor and then synchronizing with the system via CLI. - Tagging relevant…

Hundred Docs▲17Hey HN, I’m Carlos, dev & designer behind Hundred Docs. Here’s the deal: I’ve spent way too many days fighting PDFs in production. Two things drove me crazy: 1. Most doc tools give total freedom → anyone can make a layout disaster + UX is terrible. 2. PDF libraries are a nightmare to integrate So I hacked something that actually works: - You describe the doc in plain English - AI turns it into an editable template - Non-tech folks can tweak it visually - Devs just POST JSON to an API → get a professional PDF back Would love to hear what you think about the product idea and your experience…
