Products that do what Auto-Generate Python REST API Clients Using OpenAPI Generator does
Hi all, We've refactored the Python client generator in OpenAPI Generator(http://github.com/openapitools/openapi-generator). To give it a try, please follow 3 simple steps below: 1. Download the Java JAR: https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/org/openapitools/openapi-generator-cli/6.3.0-SNAPSHOT/openapi-generator-cli-6.3.0-20221217.085631-50.jar 2. Rename the JAR as "openapi-generator-cli.jar" 3. Execute the following command to run the generator for the PetStore API:…

Hi It's Logan (op) and David, we are launching our first open source Python SDK generator with other languages to come :) We built this because we believe that the OpenAPI Generator project is a mess and simply doesn't work for most users (us included). Additionally, proprietary generators miss the mark for complex use cases, and restrict developers from doing what they do best: writing code. On top of all that they force you into proprietary configuration layers for many desirable features which increases vendor lock in and pulls you further away from your API spec as the source of truth.…

Hi hn! I wanted to share a simple JS script I built that uses Anthropic's Claude AI to auto-generate OpenAPI specs from code. Keeping OpenAPI specs in sync is tedious and error-prone. I was wasting too much time manually updating YAMLs. To fix this, I created a script that leverages Claude to parse source code and produce OpenAPI specs, no annotations needed. It's a gist you can copy/paste into your project: https://gist.github.com/hotkartoffel/2d2ca5a5a4ace98ca7fe87f... Feed it your code and Claude handles inferring the OpenAPI objects. I've tested it on JavaScript…

Hi HN - Marius (mbuleandra) and I built Restly as a side project. Restly generates a user-friendly tutorial against any OpenAPI spec. While building public-facing APIs, we found that writing these guides by hand took a lot of work. Many OpenAPI specs were too large to send to GPT-4 / Claude directly, and even when we could send them, we experienced lost-in-the-middle and hallucination issues. The project is very alpha but works against the Vocode API when we specify well-defined goals. Let us know your thoughts; we would love your contribution to the project! [1]…
