Products that do what Automate API Testing with Record and Replay does

This is shailendra here. Founder at HyperTest - hypertest.co We are trying to make integration testing easy for developers. A lot of other teams and tools have taken a stab at this problem and having seen them we believe we have improvised the approach to help developers achieve this with minimum effort and pain. How it works: Developers set-up our SDK (2-lines) in the source code their (backend) services and configure it to record traffic from any environment. When HyperTest works in RECORD mode it collects end to end trace of every incoming request i.e. the request, response and outbound…

Sharing an internal tool that accelerated my development work 10-fold, especially with API debugging. Thought fellow developers here might find it useful. As a developer, I often have trouble reproducing errors at the client end. https://intercept.rest lets me debug and monitor API requests and responses. It is similar to the Network tab in Chrome Developer Tools but works for any API: mobile apps, webhooks, frontend etc. After I shared it with a close circle of friends, they found it incredibly useful and even found new use cases, I never imagined. Been a long time lurker here and…

Hi HN, Three years ago we launched Reflect (https://reflect.run), our no-code end-to-end testing platform, on HN. We're back to show you some new AI-powered features that we believe are a big step forward in the evolution in automated end-to-end testing. Specifically, these features raise the level of abstraction for test creation and maintenance. One of our new AI-powered features is something we call Prompt Steps. Normally in Reflect you create a test by recording your actions as you use your application, but with Prompt steps you define what you want tested by describing it in…

Hi Hacker News! I’m Rashid, a first-year student at UT Austin and the person leading development of Rejourney, a web/app analytics and session replay tool. Recently, a handful of our users emailed us that they only care about a few user recordings (replays) that show conversion issues, and didn't want to waste time watching all the session replays they got. And no matter how many filters/smart capture rules we put in, the deterministic methods of choosing what to capture always missed important session recordings or overshot and recorded everything. Our users also used other…

Hi HN, I'm the CEO at https://replay.io. We've been working on time travel debugging for web development for a while (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28539247) and more recently an AI app builder that uses that debugger to get past problems instead of spinning in circles (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43258585). We've gotten to where we can pretty easily build apps to replace business-critical SaaS tools, some of which we're now using internally: * We built our own issue tracker to keep track of all our development projects, tickets, bug…

As a long-time developer, I participated in many integration projects and we always had a recurring problem: monitoring and sending integration error alerts to end users. Based on 10 years and hundreds of projects, I created a platform that helps solve this, with several accelerators and cool stuff for developers. Some feedback would be great, if the tool makes sense and what we could improve on.
