I review PRs all day and I've basically stopped reading them. Someone opens a 2000-line PR, I scroll, see it's mostly AI-generated React components, leave a comment, merge. I felt bad about it until I realized everyone on my team does the same thing. The problem is diffs are the wrong format. A PR might change how three buttons behave. I've been using Claude Code heavily, and kept hitting the same issue: the agent would push changes, respond to reviews, wait for CI... but never really know when it was done. It would poll CI in loops. Miss actionable comments buried among 15 CodeRabbit suggestions. Or declare victory while threads were still unresolved. A little idea I got from playing with AI SWE Agents. Can AI help make sure we understand the code that our AIs write? PR Quiz uses AI to generate a quiz from a pull request and blocks you from merging until the quiz is passed. You can configure various options like the LLM model to use, max number of attempts to pass the quiz or min diff size to generate a quiz for. I found that the reasoning models, while more expensive, generated better questions from my limited testing. I've found it helps PR reviewers when they can look through a set of commits with clear messages and logically organized changes. Typically reviewers prefer a larger quantity of smaller changes versus a smaller quantity of larger changes. Sometimes it gets really messy to break up a change into sufficiently small PRs, so thoughtful commits are a great way of further subdividing changes in PRs.
