Hi HN! I’m Omar from Mutable.ai. We want to introduce Auto Wiki (https://wiki.mutable.ai/), which lets you generate a Wiki-style website to document your codebase. What's your tool chain for data and document processing? - jq is great, but limited to JSON; and jQuery limited to HTML; templating systems get messy for non-trivial logic; TypeScript lacks pattern matching and schema support. So I built Lambda — an expressive functional language that combines the power of Lisp, TypeScript, and many DSLs like jq, jQuery, RelaxNG, etc. It has a lightweight 9 MB runtime, built from scratch in C/C++, that provides an end-to-end document processing pipeline (parse → validate/query/transform → layout → render/view). Internally, Lambda parse…

Hi HN! During the last few years, I worked on a few applications built with Go, running on AWS Lambda. As I got to know the platform better, I started to find Go & Lambda to be a really productive combination. The applications were fast, and they ended up being much cheaper to run than what my team & I had built before. It’s probably not the best platform for _every_ application, but I was surprised at how much of our workload worked well on it. As we brought new engineers on to our team and helped them get up to speed with the stack, I found that we were covering a lot of the same topics…

I built Lore because I kept losing knowledge — curl commands, quick notes from standups, and that one thing I told myself I'd remember. It lives in the system tray, a global shortcut pops it up, you type naturally, and it stores or retrieves automatically. Everything runs locally via Ollama + LanceDB — no cloud, no API keys. It classifies your input (thought, question, todo, instruction) and uses a RAG pipeline to answer recall queries from your own stored context. It's free and open source under MIT license, and even though its in very early version me and my friends have been using it for…

I started building a couple of years ago because I found no easy existing solution to build Slack bots that can be composed from/organized into plugins. Existing libraries like Bolt make it pretty easy to develop Slack bots, but hard to organize and scale the code base of your bot. I was also missing some crucial features such as scheduling actions for your bot. So I wrote my own framework! I recently rewrote the complete framework to make use of asyncio and the newest Slack SDK Let me know what you think!

This is a hobby project of mine that I started a few years ago to learn about programming language implementation. It was created 95% without AI, although a few recent commits include code from Gemini CLI. I started out following Crafting Interpreters, but gradually branched off that until I had almost nothing left in common. Tech stack: Rust, Cranelift (JIT compilation), LALRPOP (parser). Original title: "A small programming language where everything is a value" (edited based on comments)

Hey HN! This is Divit from Almanac (YC S26). We built CodeAlmanac, a wiki for your coding agents that updates as you talk to them. It is open-source, local, and free. Here’s a demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNQWV3TFBWM Your CC/Codex conversations contain a LOT of knowledge that is forgotten because it was never documented. People have their own methods of documenting their chats. We used to make Markdown files like MANUAL.md and DESIGN.md, and would prompt Claude to keep them updated. The problem is that these files quickly become outdated and messy, and there’s…

Hey HN I’ve been building *W++*, a scripting language that looks like Python but runs on the .NET runtime. It started as a fun side project, but it evolved into something surprisingly powerful — and potentially useful: Key Features: - Python-style syntax with semicolon-based simplicity - Compiles to .NET IL with experimental JIT support - Can run interpreted or compiled - Built-in CLI for managing projects, running, and building - Supports importing NuGet packages and converts them to .ingot modules automatically - MIT licensed and fully open-source You can even do things like: wpp import…
