Products that do what Built email parsing for booking confirmations for my travel app – Aruko does
A few months ago I shared my travel app here. Today I'm back with something that solved a real technical challenge I was facing. The problem: Parsing booking confirmation emails accurately. Built a parsing system that: - Distinguishes between connection hubs and actual destinations - Captures all segments (flights, hotels, trains) in the right order - Handles different booking site email formats - Creates complete itineraries automatically Happy to discuss more if anyone's interested :)

Hi HN, In the past ~8 months, I have been working on a side project that helps me plan my travels. While most months saw no or little progress, in the past ~3 months I have been adding tons of features to support my next big trip later this year. I've written in my blog on the feature set [1] but in short they are: - Timetable view of activities, accommodations, and day plans - List view and map view of them - Commenting on them - Expense tracker - Sharing and collaboration with friends The source code is also available on GitHub [2] This is an example of a view-only trip: [3] So far, I…

Hi there, TLDR; I built an inbox simulator so you can try BonBook in 15s, without sharing your email. Earlier this year I was flying 2-3 times per month and found booking and changing flights a hassle. So I decided to fix it. BonBook lets you find, book and change flights with one email. It can also auto-find flights for events you’re attending. Over the last few days, I built a simulator that lets you interact with BonBook without sharing your email. It responds with real flights and each response includes a link to compare w/ Google.

Hey HN Community, I'm excited to share something we have been working on for over the past few months: Locale.ai. Its heart and soul lie in its SQL-configurable nature. You can directly connect Locale to your databases, data warehouse, or any SaaS tool that you use internally and craft custom alerts and ticketing conditions with SQL queries. The issues also get resolved on their own as we can detect them through data. Before starting Locale, we worked across companies and managed tons of cron jobs with email reports, slack alerts for customer success operations and product. It’s a tool born…

Hey HN, I'm a longtime reader and this is my first Show HN (exciting!) It's a collaboration between me and two friends, and we're building this upon another app we made called EmailYak, an API to receive email. We're trying something new and releasing the documentation to an app while we're still building it. We'd love feedback. Do you belong to any of these categories? 1) You've built an app with two distinct groups of users (say, people with cars and those looking for a ride) and they were able to communicate with each other. Did you expose personal email addresses? Did you send…

Capturing emails always sucked. I don't want to add a full-blown newsletter API. That's why I've created my own tool. Would love your feedback on this

We built TripJam after being frustrated with planning trips in regular group chats and trying to organize information across multiple apps. It combines: - Group chat that keeps all travel discussions in one thread - Interactive maps where everyone can pin locations and add notes - Collaborative itineraries that sync with your calendar - AI travel assistant that suggests activities and helps optimize your plans This solves trying to coordinate information with everyone using messages, Google Maps, Google Docs, and travel guides. Everything syncs in real-time so everyone stays on the same…

Hi HN, I'm excited to share a project I've been working on: UnwrapEmail(https://unwrap.email), an API designed to detect and verify disposable or temporary email addresses. Features: - Detect disposable email addresses - Extract labels from email addresses (e.g., Gmail) - Normalize addresses by removing labels or special characters (e.g., Gmail) - Validate MX records of domains - Check whether it’s safe to send to a given email to reduce bounces and maintain sender reputation Why I Built This: As the owner of an AI wrapper app, I've seen decent traffic thanks to SEO efforts + ads,…

Hi everyone - I'm not a serious language learner but I've been enjoying learning phrases I can use when I travel, at restaurants, around people in public, etc. Let me know if you find it useful or what might make it useful for you!

Hi HN, I run a small ecommerce shop and, until recently, spent way too many evenings copy-pasting supplier invoices into Excel so my books stayed clean and my expense tracking was granular. It finally hit me that I’d rather invest that time in code than in Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V, so I built ParsePoint.app. Why I built it • Manual invoice entry was swallowing 4 hours every month. • Accounting software APIs felt heavyweight for my use-case; I really just wanted clean rows in a spreadsheet. • I love tinkering with AI models and needed an excuse to spin one up in production. What it does 1. Upload a…

Hello, I'm Andrew, owner of EmailDetective. I was looking for an API solution for email validation/scoring for multiple mailing lists. I noticed a lot of the email validation services out there: - Do not have an API - Are behind a paywall to try the API - Are priced way to high - Have inconsistent or non-intuitive APIs So I decided to create my own solution. This is my first time announcing EmailDetective, so I am looking for any general feedback, issues you might have run into and if you find this service useful. And yes you can try it out for free without signing up :)
