Morning HN. I had an issue recently where I wanted to share some private Github repositories with a larger audience than usual (25k+) on Youtube and was simply considering making my code public. Came up with an idea to build a middleman service that handles user access/management, generate share links and even paywall individual repos. Thought I might as well share here in case there's another dev out there who might be interested in sharing a private repo. Keen to get any feedback as I'm currently building

Hi HN, If you’re selling templates or digital assets online, platforms like Gumroad have a ton of amazing features . . . but they’re also expensive. It’s not uncommon to be paying 10%, 20% or even 30% of your revenue just to host and deliver some digital content to customers. Several months ago, I built a "stealth" feature that I could use. It hasn't been advertised, and I've been the only user. As I find it useful for myself, I believe others (software developers) may like it too. So, this is the first public post about it, and if it gets any positive feedback, I may put some time into promoting it more. In essence, given that you've opened a GitHub repo (there are ~225k of the more popular ones indexed as of now), you can replace "github" with "libhunt" within the URL, and you will find the top alternatives and related projects. For example, here are three…

Hey HN, I built a platform that allows developers to buy and sell GitHub repositories using private forking. The idea is to help indie developers, open-source maintainers, and teams monetize their work while ensuring buyers get fully functional projects with minimal hassle. Many developers create great projects but lack the time or resources to maintain them. Instead of letting them fade away, why not sell them to someone who wants to continue the work? Here is how it works: - Sellers list theis GitHub repos in the platform - Buyers purchase repos - Buyers automatically added as…
