Products that do what Cascade – open-source alternative to paid SaaS boilerplates does

Hey! I recently got laid off from my comfy engineering manager job and decided to go full-time indie hacking. I’ve built around 5 side projects in the last 3 years and have much experience in launching and getting sales. However, at this time, I need a way to do it faster as I am bleeding money. It usually took me more than 3-6 weeks from idea to shipping the MVP to the first users as I was busy setting up the typical flows like payments, analytics, error tracking, and whatnot. Usually, when everything was ready, I was not motivated to launch. I built Cascade to solve this problem! The idea…

Hey there I made a opensource alternative for these services. Although these worked very well, I was not so confident what they do. So I made my own and opensourced it. It is written in Golang and is fully customizable.

Hi guys, I've created an open source web builder framework (https://grapesjs.com) years ago, which I'm still maintaining, and now I'm excited to publish a side project based on it, Grapedrop (https://grapedrop.com). It's a simple web page builder which allows you to design and publish your web pages very quickly. The project is still in beta with a lot of stuff to improve but I'd really like to share it and hear what people think about it and maybe also get some constructive feedback.

I launched Open SaaS about a year and a half ago and surprisingly it’s become one of the most popular free SaaS boilerplate starters on github (https://github.com/wasp/open-saas). After 2 years of work total, I’m pleased to launch what I’m calling “Open SaaS v2.0”. Here’s a breakdown of all the features and updates I’ve made to it over time: * New Big, Shiny Things for v2.0 * - Complete redesign with Shadcn UI for a modern and consistent look (themeability coming soon...). - Script that autogenerates an LLM-friendly version of the documentation…

Hi HN, I'm Mohammed, a technical founder who loves shipping and giving back to the community. I'm open-sourcing the full-stack engine that powers my B2B product, apflow.co. What it is: A production B2B starter with a Go backend and Next.js frontend. Both are fully Dockerized with separate containers. No Vercel. No Supabase. Deploy the whole thing on a $6 VPS, or split frontend and backend across different providers. You own the infrastructure. The problem I was solving: Every SaaS starter I evaluated had the same issue: they locked me into someone else's platform. Vercel for hosting.…

Hi HN! I am a indie hacker and love building apps with SvelteKit, so I built a boilerplate with the tech stack I always use. It has almost everything needed to launch a SaaS/tool/AI app, like auth, db + orm, email, payments and styling. You can view everything that's included on the website and the docs (https://docs.launchleopard.com) Would love to hear what other features or tech you'd want to see in a boilerplate like this!

Hi HN! During the last few years, I worked on a few applications built with Go, running on AWS Lambda. As I got to know the platform better, I started to find Go & Lambda to be a really productive combination. The applications were fast, and they ended up being much cheaper to run than what my team & I had built before. It’s probably not the best platform for _every_ application, but I was surprised at how much of our workload worked well on it. As we brought new engineers on to our team and helped them get up to speed with the stack, I found that we were covering a lot of the same topics…

My friend and I grew frustrated with the high cost of existing pair programming tools, and of course of grainy screens when we used Huddle or similar tools. We believe core developer collaboration shouldn't be locked behind an expensive subscription. So for the past year we spent our nights and weekend building Hopp, an open-source alternative. We would love your feedback and we are here to answer any and all questions.

Hi HN! I've been building ReadyKit, an open-source SaaS boilerplate that handles all the hard parts: multi-tenant workspaces, Stripe billing, OAuth + MFA authentication, and a production-ready stack. Built with Python/Flask, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Vue 3, it's designed for indie makers and teams who want to ship SaaS products fast. Clone, configure your OAuth and Stripe keys, and you're running in 5 minutes. Features include automatic query scoping for workspace isolation, audit logs, role-based access, and a modern UX kit. MIT licensed and free forever. GitHub:…
