Devlog is a powerful tool that automatically generates (b)log posts from your Git commit history, providing a natural language summary of your development progress. It uses ollama to generate the blog posts locally so it never sends your data to third-party servers.

It's the Easter holidays here so I decided to finish one of the pet-projects that I had on my work machine. https://github.com/bdryanovski/logchanges This small package is designed to help me generate a changelog for my other projects and keep it up to date when it comes to update and handle it. The JSON part is for the cases when I want to integrate it into Single Page Apps like for example inside https://docusaurus.io/ or https://www.gatsbyjs.org/ when I want to have a lot more control on how the data is rendered. Or even make it…

Hey HN, I built ChangelogHub (https://changeloghub.com) to automate something that is always last on my list for every release: writing clean and human-readable changelogs. Human-readable being the key phrase here. Writing changelogs manually is tedious, especially for backend/infrastructure changes that users never see but matter a lot. I wanted something that didn’t just rephrase commit messages, but actually understood the code diffs. HOW IT WORKS: - Analyzes diffs from PRs or direct commits - Summarizes the changes using OpenAI (code-diffs+custom prompt + heuristics) -…

Hello I'm Jack, I was previously a Site Reliability Engineer and i've been working on monitro.dev which makes log monitoring simple for individuals or small teams. It allows you to easily forward any logs to multiple channels such as Slack, Discord & Telegram. The events are also viewable though the admin dashboard and are easily filterable. Currently there is only an NPM package with javascript / typescript support but i have plans to expand this to other languages such as Python, Rust etc. The package has many options, one of them is forwarding any uncaught exception and as an event…

Hey Hackers, I was building multiple projects lately, and integrating logging was way too much for me. Managing self hosted ELK stack, or using existing log monitoring services (running their agent was consuming hell of resources on my tiny servers). It took me a day to code my own logging server, and client for python projects (serving as python packages - pypi), named it HueLogs. Sharing with you all, please feel free to contribute if you like. I might be adding a npm package for javascript client if I get chance to code tomorrow. Few features too add: - 30 min, last day logs etc. -…
