I usually look up palettes and the UI comes out nice except some color pairs don't pass wcag color contrast and well - just isn't readable Ended up writing a tiny library that automatically nudges your text color just enough to pass AA or AAA, while keeping it visually similar to the original along with a color contrast linter so we can use it in CI Thought you guys might find it useful too, it's foss :>

Needed a syntax-highlighting theme for displaying code samples on our company blog, but found my favourite editor themes did not have WCAG-conformant color contrast. And the accessibility-focused themes I found didn't fit well with our site aesthetic. I'm sure there are such themes out there, but for our use I built these Measured Light & Dark schemes. Pleased with the results, so have open-sourced them and made them available to the base16 ecosystem. Happy theming!

A simple tool I made over the week to explore and learn about different colors. You can select any color with any opacity #000000-FFFFFFFF (~4.3 billion colors/variants), and you can view a dedicated page detailing the color's closest name, conversions to Hex, RGB, CMYK, etc., shades, tints, tones, harmonies, opacities, and WCAG contrast compliance.

This is a personal project I've been working on for a long time now. I stumbled upon the color quantization problem while doing something related for work. I then found an interesting paper for which I could find no implementations online, and the thing went from "let's implement this paper" to getting pretty obsessed with the whole thing. It's at an early, eaaaarly stage. There's a lot of work to be done, and it's a memory hog, but generally speaking works quite well, and the output is for the most part very high quality, so I'm happy to share it as beta.
