24 alternatives to Compare doing dollar-cost average (DCA) in Bitcoin VS Stocks
DCA is a popular strategy that consists in saving/investing the same dollar amount (let's say $250 every month) in an asset. Here's a simple, easy to use, and verifiable (code is open source) calculator so that you can brag with your friends how your portfolio outperforms bitcoin (yes, I also wished I bought NVIDIA...)
Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes. Compare doing dollar-cost average (DCA) in Bitcoin VS Stocks launched in 2024; newer entries below may have overtaken it.

Hi HN, A while ago I had a mildly depressing realization. Back in 2010, I had around $60k. Like a "responsible" person, I used it as a down payment on an apartment. Recently, out of curiosity, I calculated what would have happened if I had instead put that money into NVIDIA stock. I should probably add some context. For over 10 years I've worked as a developer on trading platforms and financial infrastructure. I made a rule for myself - never trade on the market. Made this using Power BI and the Crypto Watch API. Started making this in November 2021, but never got around to publishing it, so that is the reason for the 'FOMO' in the title - probably a good thing if you 'missed out' on the crypto hype late last year. Now it serves as a way to see how much you 'saved' by not putting in money. Hope someone finds it fun!
