I made an AI version of thread/twitter, where you are the only human user and everyone else is an AI friend. It’s called Melonn(melonn.xyz), a human-free AI social space. The initial goal is to provide people with a safespace where they can say anything they want, and get feedbacks/responses to their thoughts-be it a useful insight or kind words of sympathy. If you ever feel lonely, lost, bored or sad just come here and express how you feel without having to care about what others would think. We are actively looking for feedbacks/opinions to improve the service! Thank you.

Hey HN! I’m Andrew, and I’ve been building Cortex (https://cortexdesktop.com/) for the last few weeks. Cortex is my attempt to reimagine how we interact with computers - starting with a simple interface, but aiming for something deeper: an AI layer over your OS that understands what you’re doing, remembers it, and helps you dynamically. Right now, Cortex is just a floating overlay you can summon anywhere on your Mac. It works like an inline ChatGPT, but it lets you instantly send that context into the chat by highlighting text - so you don’t have to explain what you’re doing.…

Hi HN — I built Palmier. Palmier bridges your AI agents and your phone. It does two things: 1. It lets you use your phone to directly control AI agents running on your computer, from anywhere. 2. It gives your AI agents access to your phone, wherever you are — including things like push notifications, SMS, calendar, contacts, sending email, creating calendar events, location, and more. A few details: * Supports 15+ agent CLIs * Supports Linux, Windows, and macOS * What runs on your computer and your phone is fully open source * Works out of the box — no need to set up GCP or API keys just to…

Hi HN, I'm excited to share Latitude Agents—the first autonomous agent platform built for the Model Context Protocol (MCP). With Latitude Agents, you can design, evaluate, and deploy self-improving AI agents that integrate directly with your tools and data. We've been working on agents for a while, and continue to be impressed by the things they can do. When we learned about the Model Context Protocol, we knew it was the missing piece to enable truly autonomous agents. MCP servers were first thought out as an extension for local AI tools (i.e Claude Desktop) so they aren't easily hostable in…

That's a bold claim. But I genuinely feel like I might have actually solved computer use (demo: https://x.com/mdlahfir/status/2088109763783700827?s=20) For context, I've been building agent-desktop (Inspired by agent-browser by Vercel Labs), an automation CLI for desktop apps. It's like Playwright but for desktops, not just native, but for Chromium apps as well. Trust me, yes, Chromium apps whose accessibility tree is dense. MacOS is GA; I'm almost close to launching for Windows and Linux! So, how did I solve it? Basically interoperability. The biggest issue with…

Hi HN community, I'm Venkat, a student from India currently studying Human-Computer Interaction. Recently, I’ve been using a lot of AI tools to help with research and digging up information - but most of them feel like solo conversations. It’s just me and the bot. I kept wondering: what would it look like if a whole team could collaborate with AI? To explore this topic further, I’ve been building Genie, a Slack app that helps your team with data gathering and research tasks. Genie is a Slack magician you can summon like a teammate. Genie helps your team gather answers from internal sources…
