Products that do what Creating Skew-T Log-P diagrams from the Rapid Refresh (RAP) model does

A few weeks ago there was a request for GribStream to support this particular model https://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/products/rap/ to use it on Skew-T Log-P diagrams and so after banging my head against jpeg2000 compressed data within grib2 files I finally got it :). I'm sharing a python example to show how to create these charts. A Skew-T Log-P diagram is a type of thermodynamic chart used primarily in meteorology to plot atmospheric temperature and dew point profiles at various pressure levels. The "Skew-T" refers to the angle at which temperature lines are…

The UK MET office recently redesigned their site, adding a lot of additional whitespace, scrolling, and animations. This significantly reduced its usability for me, and left me wanting an ‘at a glance’ weather site. I made https://brolly.sh, a minimalist, plain text weather forecasting site. You can use it to view weather from around the world, with: 7 day forecast; Previous day log (so you can confirm it definitely was cooler / hotter / wetter / drier yesterday!); Hourly rain, wind, temperature, conditions; Hourly UV, air quality and pollen, including pollen type…

I built DiagramIDE because I wanted a more modular way to handle diagramming-as-code. It’s a Rust-based GUI (EGUI) where you can split logic, data, and rendering into separate windows. Instead of one giant DSL file, you can script components in Tcl, define relationships in Prolog, and pipe the results into Pikchr for the final render. Fair warning: it’s an early alpha and still quite rough around the edges. I’ve been dogfooding it for my own work so it’s definitely functional but expect unexpected. Shortest way to try it out is a compiled binary release:…

We built Maptoolkit.org - a free, production-grade vector maps service built on OpenStreetMap and MapLibre. Map rendering and tile hosting have historically been either expensive (Google, Mapbox) or complex to maintain yourself. (Plus: Their maps are car-focused.) Our maps feature max data zoom 15, global hill-shading, 3D terrain, contour lines, water depths, and specialized styles (like Hiking, Cycling, Winter). No sign up or API keys required. You can use it like this: ``` const map = new maplibregl.Map({ container: 'map', style: 'https://styles.maptoolkit.org/summer.json',…

I wanted to share a project I've been working on for the past few weeks: llgtrt. It's a Rust implementation of a HTTP REST server for hosting Large Language Models using llguidance library for constrained output with NVIDIA TensorRT-LLM. The server is compatible with the OpenAI REST API and supports structured JSON schema enforcement as well as full context-free grammars (via Guidance). It's similar in spirit to the Python-based TensorRT-LLM OpenAI server example but written entirely in Rust and built with constraints in mind. No Triton Inference Server involved. This also serves as a demo…
