24 alternatives to Cursor Autopilot
Hey HN! I'm Guojun, creator of Cursor Autopilot. Most of my day using Cursor involves babysitting—I sit there reviewing the AI agent’s output, hitting "continue," and repeating. Honestly, it's tedious, especially since those 2-minute waits always tempt me into another round of doomscrolling. So I thought: wouldn’t it be great if I could step away, grab coffee, or just relax while still managing Cursor from my phone? I quickly hacked together Cursor Autopilot, a simple extension that's now available on the Cursor Extension marketplace. It sends your Cursor chat summaries directly to Telegram…

Hi HN, Francesco from Cua here. I hacked this project together last weekend, inspired by the Codex Computer-Use release and lessons learned from deploying GUI-operating agents for our customers. The main problem: when a UI automation process controls a desktop app today, it usually takes over the human’s session. Your cursor moves, keyboard focus gets stolen, windows jump to the front, and you have to stop working until the agent is done. That is why we have historically avoided encouraging users to run these processes directly on their host machine, instead relying on VMs or GUI containers…

cursor party▲79Hi HN, I challenged myself to build a multiplayer game in just 1 hour. My goal was to experience the distributed processing capabilities of Elixir and Phoenix LiveView firsthand by creating a simple web app. It allows everyone to see each other's cursors in real-time and fight a boss together. This is currently a beta version, and I plan to ship new features every week. It's deployed on Koyeb. I'd love to hear your feedback on the performance!

Todo2▲131Hi HN, I just launched Todo2 – an AI-powered project management extension for the Cursor AI editor. I built Todo2 after getting frustrated with leaving my IDE to plan tasks in ChatGPT/Perplexity. It lets you create todos by simply prompting, auto-researches latest best practices, and keeps everything inside Cursor. It’s free with 14-days trial on the Cursor Marketplace. Would love your feedback or questions! Thank you - https://todo2.pro

Hi, I'm Daniel from Zep. I've integrated the Cursor IDE with Graphiti, our open-source temporal knowledge graph framework, to provide Cursor with persistent memory across sessions. The goal was simple: help Cursor remember your coding preferences, standards, and project specs, so you don't have to constantly remind it. Before this integration, Cursor (an AI-assisted IDE many of us already use daily) lacked a robust way to persist user context. To solve this, I used Graphiti’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, which allows structured data exchange between the IDE and Graphiti's temporal…

CursorBird▲11Hi HN! Creator of CursorBird here. I've recently built and published a fun side project I think you might enjoy: It's a simple Cursor extension that lets you play a flappy bird clone while the agents are running. It uses Cursor's hook system to detect agent activity: the game automatically opens when an agent starts working and closes when all agents finish. Press Tab to flap. 100% open source. Repo: https://github.com/i-am-noamg/cursorbird Install: https://open-vsx.org/extension/cursorbird/cursor-bird or from Cursor's extensions search It started…

I built Gemini Cursor, an open-source multimodal AI cursor that guides users through tasks on their desktop by pointing and speaking. It leverages Gemini 2.0 Flash and Google's live multimodal API to analyze what's on screen and provide real-time assistance. In this demo, my friend tries to add a payment method to Amazon, and the AI cursor walks them through the entire process with visual cues and spoken instructions. I've also used it to interpret diagrams from research papers—curious to see what other use cases people find this useful for! Demo:…

I’ve been experimenting with embedding an Claude Code/Cursor-style coding agent directly into the browser. At a high level, the agent generates and maintains userscripts and CSS that are re-applied on page load. Rather than just editing DOM via JS in console the agent is treating the page, and the DOM as a file. The models are often trained in RL sandboxes with full access to the filesystem and bash, so they are really good at using it. So to make the agent behave well, I've simulated this environment. The whole state of a page and scripts is implemented as a virtual filesystem hacked…
