Initially, I created the project for Chirp Dev Challenge hackathon this Summer. The idea behind it was very simple: enhance Twitter profile page. The problems solved with these enhancements are: 1. The existing page does not show all the available data that can help users to understand if they want to follow someone or not. Some users try to describe what they tweet about in description or in a pinned tweet. But not everyone does this though. 2. For my final year project of my CS degree, I'm building a Faceted Search interface for Twitter. Essentially it will allow facets to be used to filter the results that are returned from a search on Twitter. My weekend hack project was to put together a small web app for sharing links in the spirit of memepool.com. It uses a bookmarklet to let people clip interesting articles to share while reading and uses a subset of markdown to add links and blockquotes to posts. So I just did my semi-annual "log in to Twitter to see if it's any good yet", and found that in my absence I had followed a few thousand new spam accounts. Sweet.
