Products that do what Dashboard to Get Complete Breakdown of OpenAI Costs does
Hello Folks, I am an indie developer, For the last 5 months I was freelancing by building GPT-powered chatbots. One of the challenges I faced was not having visibility into my OpenAI costs. This is why I have built a dashboard to get a complete breakdown of my OpenAI API usage through network calls from OpenAI. Please give it a try & help with feedback on how I can further improve the product, which can really add value and save some money. Note: 1)I found this API through the network logs of the billing screen. 2)The tool stores the OpenAI Key locally on the browser.

Hi! My OpenAI costs started going up recently and I hated how I couldn't figure out which model was costing me more? The OpenAI usage page (https://platform.openai.com/account/usage) gives a nice overall breakdown, but it doesn't go into detail about cost / model, token usage, and # requests. So I reverse engineered their API to make a better dashboard, and then made it free to use. Try it out and let me know what you think. Also please tell me what other features you wish existed here https://platform.openai.com/account/usage but doesn't yet.

Whenever I get abnormally slow results or high rates of errors from GPT-4, I used to go and check the official OpenAI status site. But mostly it would always show green when I was experiencing issues. So Eliot who I work with built this little utility - an unofficial OpenAI status dashboard. It's designed to answer the question of "is GPT slow for everyone right now or just for me" and "is GPT having elevated rates of errors for everyone right now or just for me" It's aimed at API users but may also be useful for ChatGPT errors/slowness, I'm not sure. Possible features we're thinking…

Hi HN, My name is Ben Schaechter and I’m Co-Founder and CEO of https://vantage.sh - a cloud cost visibility and optimization platform. We just added support for monitoring OpenAI costs and usage to Vantage and I wanted to share a demo we put together with HN as I thought people might find it interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzAOU1-uMrM In early April we started getting requests from customers to add OpenAI cost support specifically as it was a bit opaque as to what exactly was driving costs. The way this works is that it uses an undocumented API available…

I went swimming in the ocean of OpenAI's Apps SDK… and came back with a handbook! Over the past few weeks, I’ve been diving deep into the ChatGPT App SDK: exploring its APIs, tools, and hidden gems. Along the way, I built, broke, fixed, and reimagined a bunch of little experiments. P.S: Indeed OAIs official docs is the source of truth, this is just a rough notebook Maybe, I can create a CLI tool to scaffold app?

Hi hacker news, My name is Dillion and I'm the creator of llm.report. A few months ago, I was frustrated by the lack of observability into the OpenAI API. All of us are left in the dark about API performance, latency, cost calculation, cost breakdown, and more. I just wanted to know more about how my AI app is performing in production and make data-driven decisions to improve the product. So I ended up just building it myself. There are three parts to the platform: 1. OpenAI API Dashboard (no-code) - Enter your OpenAI key and get access to detailed insights straight from the OpenAI API…

I was frustrated that open ai's playground lacks function calls, so I wrote my own more similar to ChatGpt! Now I can: * use the same models I program against * have access to function calls * can see how much it's costing me Side benefit: I can share my API key with a friend so they can use Gpt3.5 & 4 as open ai took their deposit but still labelled their account as free tier - mistakes happen. Prerequisite: an open ai api key https://github.com/acover288/playgpt Use at your own risk as I blindly installed npm packages.

Hey HN! Quick TL; DR: I set up scrapers for the websites of ~20k tech companies, fed the results through GPT, spent some sleepless nights building a web app, and voilá. I started this after getting fed up with how slow LinkedIn felt. I finally got it working and easy to use, so I wanted to share it with you guys. The job list is free. But I’m currently paying a lot of money to OpenAI for all the data I’m passing through GPT, so I may end up eventually charging for some advanced features, or putting ads on it or something. Please let me know what you think! I’m actively developing this so I’m…
