Products that do what Datamorph – A clean JSON ⇄ CSV converter with auto-detect does
Hi everyone, I built a small web tool called Datamorph because I kept running into JSON/CSV converters that either broke with nested data, required login, or added weird formatting. Datamorph is a minimal, fast, no-login tool that can: • Convert JSON → CSV and CSV → JSON • Auto-detect structure (arrays, nested objects, mixed data) • Handle uploads or manual text input • Beautify / fix invalid JSON • Give clean, flat CSV output for real-world messy data It’s built with React + Supabase + serverless functions. Everything runs client-side except file parsing, so nothing is stored. I…

Hey folks! I know CSV parsers (especially in JS) aren't terribly exciting and someone writes a "better" one every week. I'm in the middle of my parental leave, and this was a project that came out of me looking for the fastest/smallest CSV parser. It all started so innocently, and then turned into a benchmark-validation-athon; the library itself took ~2 weeks to write, but the performance comparisons took another ~4 weeks (on and off). The benchmarks were a huge effort, but I think they are the most thorough to date, both in breadth and in depth, so hopefully you find them useful:…

Hi HN, My name is JR and I had a need for a simple analytics solution that allowed me to store (timestamp, json) logs and run SQL over them. It was hard to find the right solution. Solutions like Mixpanel and Amplitude optimized for particular report types. Whereas solutions like Snowflake, BigQuery, etc. required a lot of setup. I built GraphJSON to fit in the middle. I strived for the ease of use of tools like Mixpanel and Amplitude, but wanted to ensure affordances were built to support use cases that big data warehouses enable. Under the hood, GraphJSON is powered by ClickHouse. This…

Hello all To preface this is just something I've been making as a learning exercise, so all feedback is appreciated. This is a tool that converts JSON schemas into TypeScript utility classes for use in Deno. Automatic Type Generation: Typescript interfaces for the compressed and uncompressed versions of your data. Compression & Decompression: Compress and decompress your data. Validation: Built-in data validation using Ajv ensures your data adheres to the schema. Reusability: Once generated, the utility classes can be used in other Deno projects. It currently only supports a subset of JSON…

Hi HN, I'm a freelance developer, and I built SnazzyPDF in my spare time to solve a problem I encountered frequently: converting structured data into PDF documents. The existing solutions I found either required manually creating a template or forced you to transform your data into a specific structure. I wanted a tool where you could simply input arbitrary JSON data and get a decent-looking document out. That's why I built SnazzyPDF. * Works with any JSON: No need to restructure your data. SnazzyPDF handles (almost) any JSON data, including deeply nested arrays and objects. * Use REST API…

Hello HN, I'm excited to share a project I've been working on: A simple, fast way to process huge CSV and XLSX files directly in your browser and export them as clean JSON or XML Here's a few things that makes this converter different: - runs in the browser - all parsing and conversion is client side can handle data any size data - automatically detects delimiters, encodings, and data types as it parses - Live preview with column renaming, search/replace, and data cleanup - Export to JSON or XML — clean, structured output that can be used for API or Databases backstory: I built this…

Hello HN! I want to introduce fastgron, my new project. fastgron is a JSON to GRON converter, built to be incredibly fast – it's 40 times faster than Gron. GRON is a tool for making JSON greppable, but it can slow down with larger files. With fastgron, even a 200MB JSON file can be converted in just 1 second. Key features include streaming conversion for memory efficiency and an optimized path reconstruction for faster operations. It leverages C++ and the simdjson and fast_io libraries for speed. I welcome all feedback, suggestions, or questions. Thank you!

Hey Everyone, We are excited to show YoBulk AI https://github.com/yobulkdev/yobulkdev an open source alternative react SDK for data cleansing (CSVs). CSV files are the most common data format for storing and exchanging data. They are often used in SaaS (Software as a Service) tools for data management, such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems, marketing automation platforms, and data analytics software. Data cleaning is a crucial process in data management, especially when dealing with CSV files. Here are some of the problems that can arise during data…

We've all been there: you have some JSON data you need to make sense of, so you Google "json formatter" and end up at a site ridden with ads. I used to look at at lot of JSON (mostly log data) for $oldjob, so I set out to build something better. I know there are a lot of tools in this space, but I've put a lot of love into JSON Dive: things like Vim keyboard shortcuts to navigate, dark mode, timestamp/image previews, and multi-file-format-support (XML-in-JSON was a format I dealt with in the context of LLMs/tool calls). I've also made an effort to ensure it can handle large files,…
