Hi guys, I want to show you a site I built, which lets you build your own virtual world of soundscape. I work out of cafes all the time because the white noise and ambience helps me concentrate well. This is an web audio experiment I've been wanting to do for a long time. Basically an ambient music composition, but all the sound elements are laid out in space, and that musical space can be explored freely. It's definitely inspired by in-world music that sometimes appears in games. I basically took that concept, keeping the music aspect, and dropping the entire "game" aspect. I’ve always liked having background noise while working or falling asleep, but I got frustrated that most “white noise” or ambient sound apps are either paywalled, stuffed with ads, or try to upsell subscriptions for basic features. I built this because most Pomodoro timers felt too sterile. I wanted something that actually pulls you in with rain, brown noise, soft ASMR, and a few Middle Eastern tracks. Added animated backgrounds so it’s not just a blank screen. Runs fully in your browser. No accounts, no tracking, just open it and focus.
