Hey HN fam, We’ve seen developers spend a lot of time implementing advanced RAG techniques from scratch. While these techniques are essential for improving performance, their implementation requires a lot of effort and testing! To help with this process, our team (Athina AI) has released Open-Source Advanced RAG Cookbooks. This is a collection of ready-to-run Google Colab notebooks featuring the most commonly implemented techniques. Please show us some love by starring the repo if you find this useful!

Hi HN folks, I'm a co-creator of the Dapr CNCF project and co-founder of Diagrid. Today we announced a free-to-use web app that takes any form of workflow diagram (UML, BPMN, scribble in your favorite drawing tool or even on paper) and generates code that runs in any IDE and that can be deployed to Kubernetes and other container based systems, based on Dapr's durable execution workflow engine. This essentially allows you to run durable workflows in minutes and leaves out the guesswork for how to structure, code and optimize a code-first workflow app. I'm happy for you to give this a try and…

I’ve been working on something called Davia — a platform for creating interactive documents. These are “living documents”: each page is self-contained, combining editable content, interactive components, and data. You can read them, edit them, and actually interact with them — more like mini-apps than static docs. Here’s what makes it interesting: The interactive components are pieces of code generated on the fly, so you’re not limited to a fixed set of blocks like in Notion. You can create infinitely flexible functionality right inside a doc. Technically, an interactive page is an ensemble…

I was experimenting with building a local dataset generator with deep research workflow a while back and that got me thinking. what if the same workflow could run on my own files instead of the internet. being able to query pdfs, docs or notes and get back a structured report sounded useful. so I made a small terminal tool that does exactly that. I point it to local files like pdf, docx, txt or jpg. it extracts the text, splits it into chunks, runs semantic search, builds a structure from my query, and then writes out a markdown report section by section. it feels like having a lightweight…

Hi HN, I’d like to share a project I’ve been working on called GalaxyBrain. It’s a tool for organizing information. Key features: Embeddable dynamic metadata: as you type, metadata is generated in the background. This metadata can be accessed and embedded directly into the page. Light programming concepts built in: you can add custom values (think variables) to any page, then reference those values across different pages to build dynamic relationships. Metadata can be chained together: referencing values on other pages, or by using a formula. Updates to anything flow through the entire…
