Atlas is an open-source deployment pipeline platform built for cloud-native applications. Atlas allows users to: - Create continuous pipelines across all their environments and clusters - Add custom tasks/tests plugins (Python scripts, K8S manifests, Argo Workflows, environment setup, etc.) - Automatically rollback applications in case of failure or degradation (Atlas watches the application past the scope of a pipeline run to ensure and enforce stability) - Use all existing Argo features Would love to hear all of your feedback and thoughts on this!

Hi HN, These are three FOSS Pulumi providers (defang-aws, defang-gcp, defang-azure) that take a Docker Compose-like project and provision it as real infrastructure to the respective cloud: VPC, subnets, load balancers, serverless containers (ECS Fargate, Cloud Run, Container App), builds, managed PostgreSQL, Redis, LLMs, and public/private DNS. Develop once, deploy anywhere: all three providers expose the same Compose-shaped surface. They contain the same Pulumi resources: Project, Build, Service, Postgres, Redis, LLM. Each service in the Compose services map gets provisioned as one of…

I've been a big fan of fly.io with it’s devx, but cold starts and pricing have been a consistent problem. Even for side projects it's painful if they take 30s to load, it just kills the whole experience. With coding agents becoming good, there were a lot more things I started building, and I just wanted to run all of those things! GCI was built to solve this. It’s just a CLI, just uses ssh to interact with your target machine, and relies on docker swarm to get your services running (docker swarm is IMO underrated, providing benefits even with a single node). It can deploy on any machine that…

Hello HN, I’m excited to share something we’ve been working on: Cloud Troubleshooting Labs. This tool provides on-demand environments for engineers to practice hands-on troubleshooting with AWS, GCP, Azure, and Kubernetes. What it does: We use Pulumi to spin up these environments. Each scenario includes a diagram and an explanation of the available IT infrastructure. Engineers are tasked with fixing configuration issues to make the application work. Depending on the test type, the environment could range from a simple terminal to a full cloud environment or a web-based VSCode. Many of our…

I got sick of: - Re-writing the same Terraform for the same common AWS infrastructure - Re-writing the same Rails code to build the same webapp - Re-configuring the same monitoring systems & CI/CD pipelines - Spending a week in dependency & configuration hell wiring it all together When I was launching my first two startups, I wished I had a strong starting point with all of the best practices & technology configured out-of-the-box. Every tool I found wanted to lock me in to some PaaS provider (that might not even exist in a year) who wanted to take a premium on my infrastructure spend…

Hey HN! I'm Guy, one of the creators of DAGsHub. We help data scientists track experiments and version their code, data & models using Git. We're committed to building on open source protocols and improving the user experience on top of them - in this case, DVC. We've built capabilities on top of it like visually interacting with your pipeline, creating data pull requests, browsing data files etc. One thing we kept running into is users being challenged by setting up the cloud environment necessary, to push their data to AWS S3, GCS (which we support), and other DVC remotes. Since our focus…
