Products that do what Django Admin for TypeScript does
This demo is build with subZero [0] - The TypeScript library to build internal tools fast Everything is running in JS (express+react-admin), there are no external dependencies (other supporting services), which makes for an easy deployment (single container/service) to any platform that can run JavaScript. The demo uses SQLite as the db but PostgreSQL/MySQL/ClickHouse are also supported. [0] https://getsubzero.today/

Hi! I wanted to understand more about databases' internals so I wrote one from scratch. It has a T-SQL inspired syntax with support for functions and procedures. It can be used stand-alone as a SQL engine or with a server allowing for persistence and replication to other connected clients. Performance are nothing near sqlite of course but that's beside the point. It’s a small database engine that can run in a web app as a way to store session data, do small calculations on a web worker, store the document/data the user is editing or facilitate “multiplayer” feature by broadcasting the…

Hi HN! I built Belgie, a Python library that embeds Deno, allowing Python applications to run JavaScript and TypeScript without requiring Node.js or Deno to be installed on the host system. It supports the features you’d expect from Deno (npm, JSR, and URL imports, isolated package environments, etc.), plus: - Pass JSON-safe values seamlessly between Python and JavaScript. - Agentic code generation with typed interfaces, similar to Pydantic’s Monty. - Manage dependencies programmatically or from the CLI.

We had a lot of reasons we wanted to build our own help desk, the least of which (and easiest to mention) is that a three seat license to the top tier desk systems are well over $100/mo. Plus they were slowing us down quite a bit. Right now its only dependency is Django, it supports email alert for updates, has bundled style, a permission like public/private/internal status, optional anonymous questions/responses, categories, searching, and a few more I've missed. What I'd like to do is: extend tests, class based views, parse incoming emails as questions & response (this is important for…

I am just getting ready to release TeamPostgreSQL 1.05. You can check it out here: http://www.teampostgresql.com It is a web-based admin interface for PostgreSQL, with a lot of work put into making it a user-friendly and productive way to work with the database. Hopefully this makes it ideal for when different people need to access the database, including developers, testers, support staff, managers etc. This will be the first release after several months of beta testing and user feedback. Some feature highlights: * Pretty neat web interface (GWT powered AJAX GUI) * Comprehensive database…

I've built a type-safe semantic layer in code, for ClickHouse. If you're building analytics off ClickHouse in TypeScript, I would love your feedback. With hypequery there is no platform to adopt, no YAML sprawl. It runs where your app runs. Key features: - Define metrics once, reuse them everywhere: Declare dimensions and measures in one place and then pull from the same source of truth. - Compiles to ClickHouse SQL: No service, no proxy, no extra runtime to deploy. It's a library that generates SQL and runs where your app runs. - Multi-tenancy & Authentication ready: Cross-tenant queries…

Hi, we're the creators of Five, the fastest way to go from database or REST API to web GUI. We automatically translate your data structure into a fully responsive web GUI. Our platform gives you the ability to model a MySQL database, write SQL queries, add business logic and integrations through JavaScript or TypeScript functions and launch a multi-user web app to the cloud in a single click (dev, test and prod environments included). Typical use cases for us are building a database admin panel, REST API GUI or any kind of bespoke business software. I'm posting a link to a code-along…

Hi HN! RΞASON is an OSS Typescript framework for developing LLM apps that uses Typescript's interfaces to get structured output from an LLM. While there are other TS LLM frameworks, I think RΞASON fills a unique space in the market: it's laser-focused on only three areas and, most importantly, actively stays away from pre-made prompting & retrieval. I've been in the LLM space since GPT-3 originally came out, and I've always had problems with other frameworks, such as LangChain. I dislike that they focus a ton on out-of-the-box prompting & pre-made agents — I, as the dev, should be the one in…

Hey folks! There has been a lot of talk recently about the reliability of Supabase and migrating away to other database providers (or even hosting Postgres yourself). I'm a big proponent of writing actual backend code rather than locking yourself into frameworks like Supabase. If you already built all your client-side code around it though, then migrating is not a trivial task. Replacebase is designed to help with that. It's a Typescript library that you can plug into actual backend code that exposes a Supabase-compatible API so that you don't have to make significant changes to your…

Hi folks, I started thinking some time ago about how to use ReactJS's server-side features with backends that aren’t specifically built with Node.js or Deno. After some research, I found that the only strict requirement is a JS engine for server-side rendering, while the rest of the runtime can be in any language. For this reason, I started developing a full-stack ReactJS web framework with a Rust-based backend (the API draws heavy inspiration from Next.js). The server performance is already impressive, with a 4x improvement over the latest Next.js. We’re tracking it in a separate…
