Hey y'all, I've been using docker compose a lot in my local network, and managing setup between machines is a bit of a pain in the ass for me. I wanted an easy way to share complex configurations. At the moment most docker compose package management is done by adding a docker-compose.yml to your repo, adding a bunch of setup instructions, and hoping they are well followed. This didn't feel like a smart way to go about it to me. I'd like to share a project I've been working on for the past few months. It's a distributed workflow engine written entirely in Go. Some highlights: * Tasks are executed in a Docker container * Can run stand-alone or distributed * Highly extensible * Able to enforce limits (CPU/RAM) per task * Web UI Would love the get your feedback on it, and find out if this could be useful.

DOrch enables Engineers, Indie Hackers, and Startups to host a docker container (OCI-compatible containers at large), without having to set up or manage a container infrastructure. It comes with features like env variables management, file sharing, FREE subdomain issuance, TLS certificate management, and automatic restart, with more features in the pipeline. The console also allows you to view logs from your containers. The product idea occurred to me about 18 months ago, while working at a different startup. The strategy of the CEO was, spray-and-pray: we created lots of products hoping one…
