Hi HN, I’m Rajiv, a software engineer turned Math teacher living in the mountains, where I like to slow down life while still building useful software. I recently built DroidDock, a lightweight and modern macOS desktop app that lets you browse and manage files on your Android device via ADB. After 12 years in software development, I wanted a free, clean, and efficient tool because existing solutions were either paid, clunky, or bloated. Features include multiple view modes, thumbnail previews for images/videos, intuitive file search, file upload/download, and keyboard shortcuts.…

Hi, I made a thing! This is by far the most work I've ever sunk into a side project; I've been working on this thing for over two years, and I'm super proud of it, even though there's still a lot more to do! Storyteller is a self-hosted platform for ebooks with synced narration. This is basically self-hosted WhisperSync, for anyone familiar with that Amazon product. It's currently made up of two self-hostable backend systems and a mobile app for reading and listening to the books it produces. You can play games directly in the browser for consoles like the N64, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation 1, using the integrated web emulator (https://emulatorjs.org/). Members of the community have released integrations for Playnite (Windows), muOS…

Hi everyone, I've just released the public repository of RebootX On-Prem (https://github.com/c100k/rebootx-on-prem), letting anyone to connect and manage their infra on their smartphone. In my case the infra is pretty simple : 3 Raspberry Pi. But I'd love to have your feedback and see interesting use cases you could use this for. I have lots of ideas for the next steps. For example, creating a Prometheus integration as well. Looking forward to hearing from you and I would be glad to help if you encounter any issue getting started with the repo.
