Hey there HN! So for the last few weeks I decided I wanted to learn more about selling on Amazon and FBA - so I did what any normal hacker would do. I bought a website - https://www.chargeduck.com - Wrote some funny copy (Well I think its funny, but I suppose thats subjective) and then I went a step further. I called up suppliers, had samples made, designed packaging and even through some of that cheeky copy on the box. As I've been talking to people over the last week or two - especially other entrepreneurs its become apparent that this is a world a lot of people don't understand…

URL: http://reallygood404.com/ I wanted to put together a showcase of some great 404 pages since there seem to be a lot of hidden gems. Would love feedback and other 404 pages that I haven't seen/found yet if people are willing to share.

I love books! I had once come across a great list of book recommendations on the LessWrong website ("The Best Textbooks on Every Subject"). But when I had stumbled upon the list a couple of years ago the last comments and recommendations on it were from 2011. And similarly I found that most recommendations on the web suffer from this form of time decay. What I wanted was a site that had high quality recommendations similar to the LessWrong list that would feel fresh and current. Amazon was overwhelming for me since it has a gazillion books on each subject and the "Thanks! Arrived in good…

Hi hn! It has always annoyed me that recipe websites are so cluttered and have so much (in my opinion) useless fluff, so I made a little website to solve that problem! One good thing about SEO for once is that Google has pretty much forced the internet to adopt JSON-LD for recipes so many recipes are directly extractable and for others I have several fall back parsers including an indieweb parser :) If you do find a website that is broken feel free to click the flag button or share it as I would love to fix any edge cases

Hey folks! I'm building an app to let anyone shop on Amazon with crypto. How it works: [1] Add "baggins.ai/" before any Amazon product URL [2] Fill in your shipping details [3] Pay with your preferred wallet (BTC, ETH, DOGE, USDC, and more) Features: - Supports 1-2 day Prime shipping - Uses Coinbase Commerce for secure transactions Here's an early version for y'all to test: https://www.baggins.ai/ Keen to get feedback on the UX and feature requests! My LI to show that it’s not a scam :) https://www.linkedin.com/in/kisum-chan/

A couple of months ago, I realized I was wasting too much time on Reddit. So I quit cold turkey and created a website that would email me top stories from Reddit every morning. After testing it on some of my friends for a month, it is now ready for the world. If you like discovering interesting stuff on the internet without losing much time, check out Redditletter and sign up if you like! :)

Hey HN crowd! Two days ago I realized I'm almost unable to read a book or a long article without getting distracted by Twitter/HN/Reddit/Work. The situation is so terrible, I'm even getting afraid of big articles, and my ReadItLater list is getting pretty long (shameful I know) ... and I'm pretty sure most of you are in this situation :) Being used to TL;DRs on long reddit posts, I thought it would be great to have these for everything, so I quickly hacked this website: http://www.too-long-didnt-read.com/ Here is an example of TL;DR: http://www.too-long-didnt-read.com/5tropy I would love to…

https://ilovethatshirt.com I want to hear some feedback on why we might not be getting the conversions expected. We launched using a WordPress setup just to limit our risk on development (e.g. produce an MVP), so I would hope that is not the feedback (but if it is, so be it). Please be brutal as normal :) If we suck, we need to hear it. Thanks!

I don't normally do this but after submitting this through the usual mechanism and having it quickly vanish off the New list, I figured it was worth a shot. * I do not have any affiliation with this site * These guys need and deserve our support. The work they are doing is pretty outstanding, the amount of quality content is incredible. The site itself is well designed, clean and top-notch. The content is truly outstanding. They are also doing it right, IMO - aka no ads at all - and entirely donation driven. Hence this post... check them out, and hopefully toss them a dollar if you find it…

I put this together to simplify finding where to watch an online movie. I'm not picky about which provider I use, but I do have an order of where I check for availability first. I subscribe to Netflix and Amazon Prime, so my process usually goes: check Netflix, check Amazon Prime, compare prices between iTunes, Amazon, and Vudu rentals. It's an inefficient process, so I aggregated everything to one search. This is a "for fun" project to get familiar with Solr. I am about to push a "Newly Released" page, and if anyone has any other suggestions or comments, I'd be very appreciative. For those…

I've just launched a landing page for an ebook that I hope to have out sometime in June but I feel like that dog in the meme "I have no idea what I'm doing."[1] I am not a designer (or copywriter) but I've been hanging out on HN long enough to have a good idea where to go for help. I used Bootstrap[2] for a template, Colour Lovers[3] for a palette and Weebly's homepage[4] for inspiration. Weebly's homepage is fantastic but as much as I tried to keep it simple and powerful, like Weebly, I kept getting bogged down in massive amounts copy. I think this is probably where I need to most help.…
