I created http://devtest.net as a weekend project, and I'm pretty proud of it from a technical and UI standpoint. The problem is, I've built this by myself in a bit of a vacuum, to "scratch my own itch", and I don't know if this is useful to anyone other than me. I'm also not so hot on the business side and don't really know what I'm doing. Basically, I'm looking for some advice, now that I've actually launched, what now? One thing that this has shown me is that I'm capable of putting together a pretty decent web application on my own in my spare time. Should I stick with this idea, or…

Hello! I just made my first web app with Sinatra. It is a REST API that helps people add two-step verification to their websites or apps. I am a complete noob in web development so please criticize me and let me know how shitty this whole thing is. :) http://two-step.herokuapp.com/

Hi HN, I’ve been working on an AI-powered website builder that allows anyone to create a fully functional website in just a few minutes. No coding, no design skills—just a simple, intuitive process with AI handling the heavy lifting. Here’s what you can do with it: • Create a website by entering a name, description, and subdomain. • Use AI to design the site, customize content, and edit sections with simple prompts. • Preview, tweak, and publish your website live instantly. • Download the code for full flexibility if you want to self-host or integrate. It’s still an MVP, and I’ve got lots of…

I just built a website that lets users track the thanks they gave and received. It's a spare time project that I built for myself so it may contain bugs. It uses Facebook login because I didn't want to code a complete login system just for a weekend project. Let me know what do you think about it! http://thank.st

I built a simple tool that suggests good domain names based on your idea, something I usually spend way too long on myself. It's free, no sign-up needed, 5 searches / day (a bit wonky, working on that part). Mainly built it for myself but would love some feedback and tips for improvement! :) Thanks!

website: dashboard.io I've been thinking about this idea for a while now and finally got around to building the prototype this weekend. The idea is that you'd drop my JS snippet on your site and I'd start building the "AARRR" table (which I'm actually building this week but imagine slide 4: http://www.slideshare.net/dmc500hats/startup-metrics-for-pirates-long-version). Basically, the system will build that table out for you and then show you how your startup stacks up against others in your space. To be clear, I'll never share your data with anyone. So, if you're a "hosting" company, I'd…

Every now and then I see these posts where people post the domains they purchased for XYZ side project that is clearly not happening. But considering how difficult it can be to find a good name, its always nice to see what people are willing to part with. Post your domains!

Hi All, I’ve been working on an open-source SDK to make collecting user feedback on your website less painful. Instead of wasting time on building your own feedback system and boring forms, my SDK lets users leave feedback directly on your website—with all the context devs actually need. Here’s what it currently does: Users can select any element on the page Auto-captures logs, metadata & screenshots Sends instant notifications (Slack, Discord, etc.) Lets you reward users → boosts engagement & conversions Gives users a tracking link → builds accountability & trust Self-host + customize the…
