Preflight▲77Hey HN, I’m a product designer on a payments team. Every time we were close to shipping a feature, we’d run a bug bash in a giant Google doc or spreadsheet: copy the spec in, write the test cases, ask people to mark Pass/Fail, paste screenshots, then manually turn everything into Jira tickets. It worked, but it always felt a bit painful. Instead of another heavy test management tool, I wanted something that feels closer to the tools we actually like using. More Linear/Notion, less old-school QA. With Preflight, you paste your product requirements and Figma link and get an initial…

I’ve always found it funny how simple feedback widgets end up as $20–$30/month products. The tech is dead simple, infra is cheap, and most of us here could rebuild one in a weekend. So as a “principle experiment” I built my own today as a side project and priced it at 1 dollar. Just because if something is cheap to run and easy to replicate, it should be priced accordingly, and it’s also fun marketing. 1$ feedback tool. Shipped today, got the first users/moneys today, writing this post today. Side Sunday project, then back to the main product tomorrow.

Feedvote▲4Hey HN, I'm the builder. I built this because most feedback tools treat integrations as an afterthought (one-way push). I wanted deep 2-way sync with Linear and Jira without paying enterprise SaaS prices ($100+/mo). The Stack: Next.js 14 (App Router) Supabase (Postgres + Auth) Cloudflare for SaaS (handling custom domains/SSL for users) The Hardest Technical Challenge: Handling the 'Infinite Loop' problem with 2-way syncs. If you update Linear -> it triggers a webhook -> updates Feedvote -> which triggers a webhook -> updates Linear. I had to build a specific idempotency layer to…

As a product manager I've used different feedback tools and almost never liked the design and experience of the widget. And pricing of some existing tools is just way too high, at least for indie makers or small businesses ($35 for 100 responses...). That's why I've launched Freddy Feedback (today!). You can find it on www.freddyfeedback.com. Curious to hear your feedback (very meta ;-)).
