Hey there! I am Luca, I write https://refactoring.fm/ and I built Tolaria for myself to manage my own knowledge base (10K notes, 300+ articles written in over 6 years of newslettering) and work well with AI. Tolaria is offline-first, file-based, has first-class support for git, and has strong opinions about how you should organize notes (types, relationships, etc). Let me know your thoughts!

Hi HN, this is Danny, Deep, and Zach. We built Fern after our previous ed tech startup failed. We were frustrated with how much time we spent writing “API code” instead of working on the actual product. We tried to use OpenAPI but we were underwhelmed - the generated code wasn’t idiomatic and it still required manual work (custom templates, scripts, manually publishing SDKs to registries). Hi HN! I just released assistant-tui, a terminal user interface for OpenAI's Assistant API. If terminal is your thing, it can be a great way to test and evaluate the API and its results. It implements not only the API, but also all the infrastructure to make it work, including polling, local repository, and more. Feedbacks and stars are welcome! https://github.com/dalssoft/assistant-tui
