As a founder, finding early customers is always a challenge. I'd come up with specific guesses for people to talk to - such "VCs that used to be startup founders" or "Former lawyers who are now CTOs." Running those types of searches typically involves opening dozens of LinkedIn profiles in tabs, and looking at them one-by-one. And, it turns out that going through LinkedIn profiles one-by-one is a daily job for many people. I started building Find AI to make it easier to search for people. I initially started just having GPT review people's LinkedIn profiles and websites, but it cost…

hey y'all -- can you please tell us if our job search tool sucks? :D we built it using an investor platform called Harmonic.ai to gather startup data, then contextualize it so that job seekers could find out about the most exciting startups hiring first (like if they just raised, growing headcount fast, have an ex-unicorn founder, etc). pretty sure we're the first platform doing anything like this. anyway, let me know what you think. really excited to launch this thing soon! getting feedback from the hn community first is really fun :)

Hey guys, we just launched a platform to match top startups with high end projects. We're focused on supporting startups that would rather take on a short term consulting gig than raising a round of funding. We'd love some feedback. Thanks!

Hi HN! I've been working on a small project called DemandHunt. Basically I aggregated problems in niche communities so that you as an entrepreneur can take inspiration. The background is that I've worked with a number of startups and I've found that many entrepreneurs already have a technology or solution in mind and work backwards to find the people with the problems to solve. This is YC's "Solution in Search of a Problem" problem, and my understanding is that it's typically better to work the other way around so you can build the right solution for the problem you find instead. Thus I…

We built this database using the same software investors use to discover startups. My friends and I really wanted to know which startups to work for. Are we on the right track? PS - there's a paywall but if you want to explore more, just DM me your email and I'll send you a free access code! Thank you so much.

Hi HN, We are building a search engine to help founders, investors, and early adopters to easily discover startups from all over the world. Discovering startups - whether it is a potential competitor, to validate an idea or as part of a DD process - is a difficult and time-consuming process. We believe that many existing platforms require expensive subscriptions and general-purpose search engines often do not give a complete enough picture. To solve this problem, we are releasing a free-to-use search engine (with a relatively generous daily limit on search volume). No sign-up is required. We…
