Basecoat ports the upcoming shadcn/ui v4 [1] to plain HTML + Tailwind (no React): - Live demo & documentation: https://basecoatui.com - MIT‑licensed and free: https://github.com/hunvreus/basecoat/ - Works with any backend (Flask, Django, Rails, PHP, etc.) or static site. - Fully theme‑compatible with shadcn/ui [2]. - Uses a sliver of Alpine.js only for a few interactive bits (e.g. combobox). Swap in your own JS if you prefer. - Dead simple to use, just drop in a class here and there: Click me Why I built it: after moving from a Next.js stack back…

Hey, I built https://ShadcnThemer.com - a web app for creating and sharing themes for shadcn/ui, made with my some of my favorites, Next.js 15, Tailwind CSS 4, Drizzle ORM, and Supabase. The goal was to make it easy to visually design shadcn color themes, preview them live across various example UIs, and export them straight into your projects (as CSS or via the shadcn CLI registry command). I had a bit of experience going into this because I built the Theme Studio for VS Code in the past, but it was fun using a modern stack and leveraging Cursor to help me along the way this…

Many JS libraries exist to build graphs on the web (Vega, chartJS, Plotly...). They allow to make charts quickly. But you lose flexibility: you're limited by the options they offer. I just created a gallery with hundreds of graphs made with d3.js and React. - Examples are split by graph types - They all come with explanation and code sandboxes - Gradual complexity to ease the learning curve It took me ages to create this project! Feedback welcome!

In a nutshell: Basecoat is a port of shadcn/ui to HTML and Tailwind CSS. It's a modern, themeable component library; everything from buttons to comboboxes and dialogs. Why? Well, I got sick of React and moved over to a more "old school" stack (Python, HTMX, Alpine.js and Tailwind). The one thing I missed was shadcn/ui [1]. Nice defaults, well thought out design system, easy to theme and great to build your own component library with. I didn't find the alternatives compelling: Flowbite, Preline and the likes encourage you to copy/paste dozens of classes for each element. That's…
