24 alternatives to Flickle
Hi HN, I built this because I got frustrated with movie trivia games that focus on actors' names or obscure facts. I wanted a game that rewards visual memory and cinematography knowledge. It’s a Wordle-like mechanic: You get 6 frames. Frame 1 is obscure (lighting, composition detail). Frame 6 is the main scene. Tech Stack: Next.js + Firebase. I spent the last week optimizing the performance. It currently hits 100 on Speed Insights and serves as a fully installable PWA. No ads, no sign-up wall. Would love to hear your feedback on the difficulty curve, especially the new TV Series mode.

I built FilmLink (https://filmlink.io) because I wanted a movie version of the Wiki Game. To win, you connect films by linking actors to their roles: Movie -> Actor -> Movie -> Actor. Today is the official launch! It's completely free to play and features: Daily Puzzle: A new challenge every day with a global leaderboard. Multiplayer (Beta): Race against friends in real-time to see who can finish fastest, or who can do it in the fewest clicks. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the gameplay. I'm actively collecting feedback on the multiplayer experience and keeping an eye out for…

Backstory: I'm a product designer who's mostly worked for startups and now big tech, and I haven't really touched html/css for nearly a decade. I've worked closely with engineers my entire career but never really rolled the sleeves up and dived into a scripting language. I'd seen some engineers playing around with CodeGPT over a year ago when it launched–we huddled around a screen and tried to decide how quickly our jobs would be replaced by this new technology. At the time, we weren’t in any real danger, but I caught a glimpse of how well it understood prompts and stubbed out large…

Hey everyone, built another tiny thing. This time for a wider audience BUT i think it might appeal more to those with kids. The idea was this: no matter how much effort you put in to reduce screen time for kids or yourselves, it inevitably happens which leads to eye strain. So I built a Look puzzle game that is designed for people to have to look around their actual surroundings in order to finish the puzzle. You take a picture of your surroundings, that picture becomes a puzzle and then you complete it while looking at what you just clicked. There is no reference photo on your screen to…
