Products that do what FreeDemandLetter – A Weapon for Anyone Who's Sick of Getting Shafted does
Folks, If you’ve ever been stiffed by a client, contractor, or random jerk, let me tell you: sending a “Please pay me ___” Post-it note ain’t gonna cut it. That’s why I built FreeDemandLetter—and no, I’m not a lawyer, but I sure was a pissed-off contractor who got sick of watching lawyers charge $400 an hour to type three paragraphs. Why You Should Care - $230M in back wages was recovered by the Dept. of Labor last year alone. Who knows how much went unclaimed because people didn’t want to fork over a kidney for attorney fees? - 40% of home-improvement disputes end up in small…

I got tired of fighting through spammy tool sites just to do something simple, so I made Toolbrew in a few hours on Replit. Just a bunch of free little tools in one place. Text converters, SEO checks, video downloaders, that kind of stuff. No signups, no ads. If there is a tool you wish existed, you can request it on the site and I will build it. Do your worst. Seriously, ANY tool. Maybe it helps, maybe not. Enjoy!

Hello HN! Being a software engineer and an SEO guy I wrote a heap of tools and scripts to make my life easier. Now I've decided to share some of them with the community, and made a small site where I will be publishing them. They are all completely free (yes, free forever) and you don't even need to sign up for the site. Just use the thing as you like, no limits. Currently you can access 4 instruments: - Backlink retriever - Thin/weak content analyzer - Traffic trend analysis - Visitor list retriever I am planning on releasing more free tools with time, and trying to stay original by…

Hi HN! My name is Yossi, and I'm a solo indie maker. SEO tools are super pricey and free tools often fall short, leaving most users to costly subscription-based tools. So, I built SEO Stuff, a keyword tool that uses a credit-based system for builders like me who use SEO more sporadically. Have a great day!

I’ve always found it funny how simple feedback widgets end up as $20–$30/month products. The tech is dead simple, infra is cheap, and most of us here could rebuild one in a weekend. So as a “principle experiment” I built my own today as a side project and priced it at 1 dollar. Just because if something is cheap to run and easy to replicate, it should be priced accordingly, and it’s also fun marketing. 1$ feedback tool. Shipped today, got the first users/moneys today, writing this post today. Side Sunday project, then back to the main product tomorrow.

At my prior employer, we got Slack alerts for big company sign-ups I wanted the same for my new startup (https://fillout.com) but quickly found that Clearbit would cost us $7,000 / mo... Instead, I made this free npm package `email-enricher` the returns if an email is likely from a Fortune 1000 company Hope it's useful to someone else!

I recently needed to verify past employment and to do so I was going to upload paystubs from a previous employer, however I didn't want to share my salary in that role. I did a quick search online and most sites required sign-up or weren't clear about document privacy. I conceded and signed up for a free trial of Adobe Acrobat so I could use their PDF redaction feature. I figured there should be a dead simple way of doing this that's private, so I decided to create it myself. What this does is rasterize each page to an image with your redactions burned in, then it rebuilds the PDF so the…
