My Downloads folder had been left unkept for a really long time and cleaning it up using Finder was quite cumbersome. So I started creating a simple app to help me filter out and delete or move the files in the folder. It started out very basic and the filtering options genuinely helped me clean out the Downloads folder, then as I thought of more features I would like to see in a file manager I started to add them. Hello, Motivated by this discussion https://goo.gl/te4BFv, I have created a simple (free and open-source) command line note organizer. The tool, called npmnotes, take a folder with notes (written in markdown/texdown) and creates a webpage that lets you search and browse through the notes. You can then publish this webpage or use it locally. The result (built with npmnotes) looks something like this https://npmnotes.org. Currently, this is just a (working) prototype and I plan to add more features soon (based on the feedback I get). What do you think of it?

Shelon: https://github.com/housni/sheldon It's not a framework, it's a library. It attempts to mimic function names in Python. Most functions work in Bash 4.3+ but there are those that work on older versions. The 'help' target in Makefile is on crack! Check the issues in that repo for upcoming features. Useful for DevOps Engineers or anyone who has to write Bash scripts.
