Hey folks, Here's a quick and dirty tool to use natural language to get git to do what you want. Example: $gitgpt create a new branch called feature/test add all the files and commit with msg creating feature test then push to origin I haven't put it through the wringer yet, however it's worked well with some pretty straight forward day to day git usage.

I shipped a wiki layer for AI agents that uses markdown + git as the source of truth, with a bleve (BM25) + SQLite index on top. No vector or graph db yet. Current AI-assisted CLI tools are often part of larger systems and work better on Linux. I built llm-term to address these. It's a Rust-based tool that compiles into a single binary file. You only need to download the binary, add it to your PATH, and configure your OpenAI key to get started. While llm-term offers an option for gpt-4o, it works great with gpt-4o-mini. This is my take on the common "use llms to generate shell commands" utility. Emphasis is placed on good CLI UX, simplicity, and flexibility. `llm2sh` supports multiple LLM providers and lets LLMs generate multi-command sequences to handle complex tasks. There is also limited support for commands requiring `sudo` and other basic input. I recommend using Groq llama3-70b for day-to-day use. I've built a lightweight copilot that integrates with Git commits, leveraging LangChain to support multiple LLM providers. I currently use it with Claude 3.7 (via Bedrock) and OpenAI’s GPT-4o, but I’d love to see how it performs with other LLMs. If you have access to any LangChain-supported LLMs, I’d really appreciate a quick test! When working on data science projects I often want to just save my work, without having to think deeply about what’s changed. I found the intentionality of Git to feel like friction in these times, and I built GitEase to simplify my workflow. Instead of having to think about add/commit/push/pull with GitEase I just think about `ge load, ge save, ge share, ge undo`. And for even less thinking, I use an LLM (text-da-vinci-003) to generate commit messages by summarizing the diff.
