Hi HN! We at Moment[1] are working on Notion alternative which is (1) rich and collaborative, but (2) also just plain-old Markdown files, stored in git (ok, technically in jj), on local disk. We think the era of rigid SaaS UI is, basically, over: coding agents (`claude`, `amp`, `copilot`, `opencode`, etc.) are good enough now that they instantly build custom UI that fits your needs exactly. The very best agents in the world are coding agents, and we want to allow people to simply use them, e.g., to build little internal tools—but without compromising on collaboration. It's Git-compatible and works offline. Why you might care - Teams see each other's changes instantly instead of in PR-sized batches - Conflicts surface ASAP while context is fresh (LLM-assisted merge is experimental, off by default) - Same GitHub remote, so no migration Ships today - VSCode extension + desktop app (macOS / Windows / Linux) - 3 small product teams have been using it for 1–6…

Small team down here in South New Zealand just launched CodeLink. In short its an IDE (VSCode/JetBrains) plugin that lets you share blocks of code that link directly to the code inside your IDE or repo. We use it all the time and think its pretty nifty tech that lets you understand someone’s code in context very quickly. we’re hoping to keep refining it to make it better and more useful.
