Please meet Loadjitsu, my weekend project, years in the making. Over the years while building different apps and sites, I always felt that I need a modern load testing software.Tools like JMeter, ab are not very easy to use and it seems innovation in load testing which is a crucial part of any software release cycle has been ignored. This is my third attempt at making Loadjitsu, I am so glad that I can finaly release this. A bit more about the software 1. Powered by golang you can run load tests for tens of thousands of connections per second on very average hardware. 2. Cross platform, run…

Hey HN! I'm Rodrigo, I run distributed systems across a few countries. I built Openfuse because of something that kept bugging me about how we all do circuit breakers. If you're running 20 instances of a service and Stripe starts returning 500s, each instance discovers that independently. Instance 1 trips its breaker after 5 failures. Instance 14 just got recycled and hasn't seen any yet. Instance 7 is in half-open, probing a service you already know is dead. For some window of time, part of your fleet is protecting itself and part of it is still hammering a dead dependency and timing out,…

Title: Show HN: We built an open USB-C Power Delivery analyzer and programmable sink Hi HN! We’re Arbi, Marco, and Rob, and we built Dr. PD to make USB-C power problems easier to understand. It sits between a power source and device, captures and decodes their USB-PD negotiation, and correlates it with voltage and current measurements. It can also act as a programmable sink, with support for fixed supplies, PPS, AVS, and USB-PD 3.2 EPR up to 240 W. Commercial USB-PD analyzers are often priced beyond the reach of hobbyists and independent designers. We are on a mission to make high-quality…

There are plenty of good tools for load testing such as JMeter, Minigun, and plenty more - but they all have their own set of options to learn. I built this one to support a simpler workflow where you just paste your curl request (or other cli command) after your `spam` config (literally just `spam -r 2 -- curl www.google.com). It's pretty barebones but I'm 100% going to use it in my day to day - figured I'd share it here if it helped anyone else!
