I've been working on a side project called Streak.ly with a friend of mine for the past month or so; it's intended to help keep you motivated to do otherwise mundane daily tasks (like do 10 pushups, read for an hour, etc.) by letting you log "streaks" — consecutive days in a row of doing something. It's in private alpha/beta/gamma/whatever right now (has some rough edges to clean up), but is more or less functionally complete and pretty stable. I'm a big fan of the Seinfeld calendar, and have seen other services which do similar things but were unsatisfying to use, either from an aesthetic…

An exciting aspect of what I'm working on is that users can create their own playlists. For example, you can provide an outline of what you're learning, such as notes from your professor or any other structure, and the pipeline will create a course tailored to that. Since the content is highly customized, it will be relevant and high-quality, matching current lessons or lectures in school or university. The Problem: YouTube is an incredible source of knowledge, but its homepage is an unending scroll of rabbit holes. The algorithm is designed to maximize watch time, often at the expense of our intentions and productivity. I found myself wasting hours, jumping from video to video, and then blaming myself for the lack of self-control. The Solution: Watchlist! Watchlist is essentially YouTube playlists on steroids. Here's how it works: 1. Create…

YouTube is the greatest learning resource in the world. Yet it doesn't provide any tools to help you learn from videos. I built a simple app that turns YouTube videos into structured learning material using AI. It generates a summary, quiz and flashcards from video content, meaning you can learn from anything (well, at least any YouTube video). Try it out. Would be happy to keep building features based on feedback!
