This all start a couple years ago when I really wanted to organize carpools at my office but the software either was open to the public or cost lots of money to host for yourself. After watching office hours with PG yesterday, I just thought, what is holding me back from telling people about this.. It is not as polished as I would like but it is an incremental job now. Group Commute is a free service that allows office workers, those Mon-Fri nine-to-fivers, to easily create and organize carpools. The groups are…

Howdy HN, As a small side project, I built a small app to share weekly time schedules. It's been useful for me to help schedule meeting and share semester schedules with friends. I hope some others find some use with it. I have a few more simple ideas to implement with it, and any suggestions are encouraged. Thank you!

Scoop’s mission is to end traffic congestion nationwide by turning single-occupant vehicles into efficient carpools. 80% of Americans drive alone to work everyday, which means 100M people are clogging up highways across long stretches of the country - and for most, public transportation or other alternatives aren't viable. Our automated carpool solution enables commuters to schedule and share their commutes, saving time, money, and…
