Products that do what Groupon Scraper in Python does
https://github.com/jxchen/DailyDealScrapers On the Groupon IPO thread someone mentioned people selling scraped groupon deal data. To satisfy my curiosity I made my own. Pretty interesting to play around with the data and see how much money their deals are making.

Hey HN, I'm a solopreneur and I scrape stuff. I've had a lot of people ask me to do this, so I decided to build it! Would love to know what you think of it! Adrian

Yeah, there's AI, but I added it because I found it easier to find answers I'm looking for. For the data scientists, you can download the CSV and go crazy. Would love to know what discoveries or learnings can be found from it. To download the raw scraped data you need to become a paid member but you don't really need it unless you're wanting to finesse a table of data for a particular need. The cost is mostly just an incentive to help me pay the bills for running the website. The bunch of available CSV files contain large amounts of data which has everything from tags, genres, pricing,…

Hi! I'm Marcell, and I'm working on FetchFox (https://fetchfoxai.com). It's a Chrome extension that lets you use AI to scrape any website for any data. I'd love to get your feedback. Here's a quick demo showing how you can use it to scrape leads from an auto dealer directory. What's cool is that it scrapes non-uniform pages, which is quite hard to do with "traditional" scrapers: https://youtu.be/wPbyPSFsqzA A little background: I've written lots and lots of scrapers over the last 10+ years. They're fun to write when they work, but the internet has changed in ways…

Hi HN! Ah yes, another web scraper. There are so many out there, so why make another one? Because I wanted one that's stupid simple and stupid fast. Unlike most web scrapers, Easy Scraper doesn’t make you build a new scraper for each site or individually select fields. You just open it and bam, your data's ready to go. My favorite use case for instantly extracting data anywhere is being able to easily talk to ChatGPT about custom datasets. For example, here's a 1-minute demo of me scraping my Twitter followers to find the ones that live in San Francisco:…

Hi there HN, just wanted to share a little project I've been working on for some time: a coinmarketcap.com Python (API) wrapper. As coinmarketcap does not provide any API endpoints, the code is pretty dirty and should be considered as a scraper more than a real API wrapper. Example usage: >>> import coinmarketcap >>> coinmarketcap.market_cap('bitcoin') $ 7,644,402,276 Everything is well documented in the README but if you have questions, don't ask. Hope you enjoy it, issues and PR on Github are more than welcome. (https://github.com/c0ding/coinmarketcap-api)

Target audience? Basically data collectors or anyone trying to scrape data from websites using a GUI What my project does: -Take URLs -Take elements to scrape from those webpages (this is optional in the sense that if you dont specify any elements the app will just scrape the entire page) -You can also send web parameters like Headers, Payloads along with specific URLs. This means it can perform any logins that are necessary -Is able to log the results in a log file, a separate one for each scrape -Data is stored in form of .txt files Some unique features of this project: -Can scrape…

I built this tool to help understand and quickly find coins on the Binance platform specifically for use with day trading. https://creative-look.com/clients/ransomcarroll.com/binance/... The problem is there's 100+ coins and i'm not going to constantly scan through each one. So the app has categories like 'big movers with volume' and other filters to help you see what's going on RIGHT NOW. You would obviously use this information to identify potential buy in opportunities. Looking for thoughts and recommendations.

We've been trying to evaluate web scraping companies, but when you look at their benchmarks, you can't verify anything, and they mostly exist to prove the company is successful. They put somewhere between 98% and 100% because they pick their own urls, define success their own way, and don't publish the harness. We also saw companies like scrapfly astroturf websites like scrapeway and call them independent. So, we built an open source benchmark that we want to represent the frontier of web data. We're trying to look across all major anti-bot providers and industries, to build a comprehensive…
