Over the past few weeks I've been working on a small application to view trending repos on GitHub. I built the PWA[1] with React, Next.js and GraphQL .. but what's interesting is the application is only using React server side, meaning the client side javascript is only a few lines code adding some event listeners and registering a service worker for offline capability. This helped me achieve a perfect google chrome performance audit I learned a ton working on it and would love to talk about it if anyone has any questions! Hi HN, My motivation for this came from frustration with existing workout trackers. Most felt clunky, hid core features like performance graphs behind a paywall, or forced a native app download. A few people close to me who take their training seriously shared the same sentiment, so I decided to build my own. I'm working on mTOR, a free, science-based workout tracker I built to automate progressive overload. It's a local-first PWA that works completely offline, syncs encrypted between your devices using passwordless passkeys, and allows for plan sharing via a simple link. The core idea is to…

Is anyone else on HN participating in this FCC research project to measure broadband performance? [1] I signed up for more information when the project was announced, some time ago, but a few days ago the device arrived. Technically, it is quite an interesting little box. It's a generic consumer device, shaped like a wireless router, with an antenna and five RJ-45 jacks. But it works more like a bridge, plugging in between my existing ADSL modem/wireless-router and any wired devices that used to be plugged directly into the existing ADSL. No changes needed to be made to any of the…

Hi HN My name is Salman and I work on Arch GW - the intelligent gateway designed to protect, observe, and personalize LLM applications with your APIs. https://github.com/katanemo/arch Our team built Envoy Proxy at Lyft, and re-imagined it with the belief that: Prompts are nuanced and opaque user requests, which require the same capabilities as traditional HTTP requests including secure handling, intelligent routing, robust observability, and integration with backend (API) systems for personalization – all outside business logic. Engineered with purpose-built LLMs, Arch…

PNLS is an open-source offensive tool that captures and displays SSIDs from device's Preferred Network List. This is achieved by sniffing out Probe Requests in the nearby vicinity which are then parsed for SSID and other information, and finally propagated to the web UI. The project was build using a Raspberry Pi with Kali Linux OS. It uses Python, FastAPI and Redis for the backend and React/JavaScript for the frontend. I hope some of you will find this useful. Also, I would love and appreciate some feedback. Thank you.

I built this because I was tired of creating pull requests in 20 repositories just to change a single line of workflow job version. With Infra as AI, just mention the change. Agents work on all repos in parallel, read the docs, make a bunch of PRs and fill in the description. You can see the demo of the actual dashboard in the landing. Let me know your thoughts :) It means a lot to me!
