Hey HN, After GPT-3 created waves in the tech industry, a lot of AI tools were emerging and with that, some AI website builders But the results seemed way too generic to us. It felt like the developers were rushing to catch the wave instead of building a proper tool We took our time, did months of RnD and finally came up with something better than what others in the market are doing. It’s got better design output. While it’s still in beta, I wanted to show HN what we did. Will appreciate the feedback when you guys try it out. Here is the link to signup for the beta:…

Hey HN, I wanted to see what happens if you put a large group in control of a site that’s completely built and updated by an AI agent. See the site here: https://youarethepm.com. I first tried this with a small group of co-workers and it worked surprisingly well, so the obvious next step was: give it to a bigger group of strangers and see what we learn. This site is fully autonomous. An AI agent reads this thread, decides what to do, writes code, and ships updates on a virtual computer. I might step in if it gets totally stuck, but the goal is for the site to evolve primarily based…

Hi HN — we’re building high-level capabilities for AI applications at Gensee: packaged tooling + infra that remove brittle low-level plumbing so teams can focus on their product’s real job. After speaking with many AI developers and experiencing it ourselves, we found that building agents requiring web content is often bottlenecked on the “search” part, as it involves iterations of search, crawl, extract, re-query, and error handling. We package all these search-related low-level details in an efficient and more intelligent way, so AI builders can get back to work on their core agent ideas.…

I built this over the weekend after reading about StrongDM's software factory (their writeup: https://factory.strongdm.ai/, Simon Willison's deep dive: https://simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/7/software-factory/, Dan Shapiro's Five Levels: https://www.danshapiro.com/blog/2026/01/the-five-levels-from...). OctopusGarden is an open-source implementation of the pattern StrongDM described: holdout scenarios, probabilistic satisfaction scoring via LLM-as-judge, and a convergence loop that iterates until the code works; no…

Hi HN community, We're developing a free tool that aims to help founders and product teams estimate the costs of developing an MVP versus a full-scale product. Here's the gist: 1. You input a description of your idea into our AI Estimator. 2. It provides you with two estimates: one for an MVP and another for a complete product. We're sharing it here because we value the critical and insightful feedback that the HN community is known for. The tool is in its early stages, and we're looking to refine its accuracy and user experience. If you have a moment, please try it out:…

It uses your local Claude and GitHub CLI and git worktrees, so there's nothing to configure beyond what you already have. Our AI coding workflow was a hodgepodge of scripts and ad-hoc processes, so we built this to centralize and streamline - and most importantly adapt as things change. Some cool features so far (lots more planned): 1. One click github issue to agent working on it. 2. Ratcheting mode, where it watches CI for code review comments and build failures, and automatically fixes them. Would love genuine feedback, bug reports, PRs, suggestions, etc.
